Zach, an old friend of mine, classically trained, one of the best pianists in his country, once told me a good piano performer can pick any song and make it masterful. That's absolutely you. You pick Legend, Beyonce, Dr. Dre, Taylor Swift and you make their music incredible. @@hongjiao7469 yeah exactly that, had a horrible piano teacher when i was little, he only thought us christmas music and child songs... then i had an awesome teacher for 2 years, literally thaught me anything i wanted and simplified it to where i could play it. but sadly he moved abroad, so i stopped playing

Wow, what a day brightener! Best thing I have seen all week, probably all month/year. Awesome the way music can bring people together. My biggest childhood regret is that we couldn’t afford a piano or lessons and I wanted to play so badly. I was so envious of my friends who were “forced” to take piano lessons. I wanted to be a ballerina, too, but that’s another story. Although, come to think of it, dance also brings people together. So sad that the arts have all but disappeared from our public schools.

I hitched a ride with a Mouri guy in NZ once. His pickup was loaded with cement bags and stones. I asked him. "What are you doing for a living mate?" He said he's a musician.
