yeah when i was new to the kai 1 i blind bought them and i have a normal to high arch and ih hurt but the wide foot is good

Outrigger is good but I would rather look for a wide base. I wear the Anta Kai 1 Speed, very comfortable and has a wide base for great stability.

Good question. High arch shoes may press up on your foot and hurt, but they may also provide impact protection for the flat footer. Not sure. Same with orthotics, should they be flat or med or high for flat footers?

In general I would say low arch shoes are easier to wear for flat footers as there won’t be as much pressure. For me personally I prefer high arching shoes as I like the feeling and the extra support my arch is getting

Great video. As a flat (read pancake) footer it’s difficult to find shoes that work well with little pain - even with orthotics. I just picked up the kd17s from a Nike outlet. I have been really impressed with them - but have only trained - hope they play well in games. Do like those or the Jordan 39 better? Do the books work for flat feet? The puma all pro nitro is also a decent shoe for flat footers.
