Pro-Russian teacher in Ukraine takes a beating | Break the Fake

A conflict broke out at a school in Ukraine, pitting the parents of the students against the principal, who’s also a teacher at the school and an adherent of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate. The row, which erupted around what the parents considered unacceptable behavior by the teacher, quickly spiraled out of control and ended with the parents giving the teacher a fierce beating.

The Russkiy Mir teacher is an example of why derussification must take place in Ukraine over the next many years. Ukraine will have to eliminate every vestige of that foreign culture. The old folks speaking Russian should be left alone to live out their lives but schools, media, civil services, history books, language, religion, culture - all must be purged of Russian influence over the next generation. Other countries also have this problem. A Russian minority in Moldova caused a 'breakaway republic' in Transnistria. This happens in Georgia, it is a risk in the Baltic countries, in Romania and no doubt elsewhere. Look at the destruction in Ukraine, Russia's claims on 'republics' within Ukraine, as all the evidence any country needs to purge that Russification out of their territories.

Whereas I understand the response and may well have done the same, it is not the right thing to do. Not if Ukraine s declaration that it is a democracy that respects the rights of all peoples. I would support the teacher being punished within the limits of the law. We see daily the repercussions carried out against Russian citizens by Putin's regime for dissenting publicly with him.
