Diana's tone is captivating in the right music. She just had another interview on Russian radio the other day expressing an interest in Folk Rock and Rock in general. She said she would consider offers that take her music abroad since she is turning 18 soon. Her voice is still developing at 17...who knows how many directions she could go with this.

Hey, I'm having fun watching your reactions. I'm being lazy here to read the other comments, so maybe you've already had this info, but Diana has such a story. She was badly abused by a alcoholic mother, never knew her father even who he was, and was abandoned by her mother at 3 years old. I heard she was dumped on the street with a broken arm at 3; her mother's relatives in the village tried to give her care and shelter but ended up taking her to the orphanage. She was later adopted by a woman who worked at the orphanage and because Diana was mute from trauma, the woman arranged for voice lessons. This is the really amazing part about Diana's voice- she found it in the deep dark places of the hurt psyche and she roared back with it just 10-12 years later to offer the world a listen to this! Do you know what I mean? I've heard that her nickname is The Shamaness- and I love it- she is like a bridge to another world and it's incredible...powerful in a way that few even dip a toe into. Many children are hurt by cruel or accidental happenings in this world and they are lost, that part is lost to them forever often. It's like a healing to listen to Diana, for me at least this is my view. And yes, I have lost parts of me.

The last musician to give me as many goosebumps as Diana was Jimi Hendrix. To put Diana in the same sentence as Jimi might sound like blasphemy, but I put Diana's voice and Jimi's guitar in the same league. (Diana just might be a real VooDoo Child 😊) For the last 15 years, Loreena McKennitt (a truly amazing singer) has been my favorite female vocalist. But now Diana is my favorite. And she's still just a kid (she'll be 18 this May). I can only imagine what she's going to sound like in 5-10 years after her body and voice are fully developed. I can't wait to find out!

Yes, that is her voice. (And you're wright to think that her tone of voice it's similar to Cher...) Their head bone structure makes that resonance sound of their amazing well trained larynx. Vocal cords is another thing, without a very well trained larynx muscle (like Dimash) they would not be so fantastic and exclusive singers. I think in this voice contest she was 15 yo. ( born 31/May/2003)... she has a very sad and dramatic life history... Luckily, after so much, she had her chance to work, educated and be like this. Russian and Asian music schools are the best and the more exigent of the world. Only the best raw jewels are admitted. Her performance is one of a kind cause, like she said once, she enters in some "other world" like a transe, before and during her act, and reacts and sings according to her feelings, so she only "wakes up" after finished the song... then she reviews it all to criticize her performance and to see if there's mistakes... Be amazed by this wonderful child. Igor Krutoy was there... the same exclusive maestro who works with DQ, and now Diana and Krutoy are making wonderful things together... Just watch it!! Thanks! Yeah she's amazing. Yeah if the song was right I'd possibly do a duet with her(sending vocal recodings etc). But she's way more current/hot than I(and my band) am at this point since our most successful years were between 2000 and 2004 so I don't see much of a point from her career standpoint to do it.
