This was such a tall order!! Covering 1) a classic, 2) paying homage, 3) also make it your own, 4) make it much shorter and 5) do it acapella!! They surely pulled all of that off and spent 13-14 hours bringing us a great video to accompany their extraordinary vocals! 🌹🕊

Loved that Geoff's wife Kathy has a part in this. She's the zombie that bites Layne's leg. Layne didn't appreciate that and kicked the zombie out of the park. Good thing Kathy had found a doll (Greta Gruesome) that looked like her. Love Geoff's narration. All of it is terrific. Great Halloween treat.

The original MJ video was 17 minutes long and they did a fantastic job of compressing into the epic performance. Geoff as Vincent Price was perfection.

Geoffs' wife Kathy is the crawling zombie was her idea. Rick Underwood did all his makeup magic.

They are absolutely fantastic. They always pay homage to the original, but Voiceplay around with it. Geoff listed their makeup artist as creative consultant with him. The buildup from normal to zombie freak was amazing.

Notice the carrot through Layne's head toward the end? I see that the carrot joke between Layne and J.None is still going strong. 🤣

Just for your info - J’s last name is pronounced ‘nun’. In fact his actual real name is Jesse Nunn. He just uses J None (like nothing). He was a regular member of VoicePlay until 2021 when he joined the US Navy as one of their singers. He has since then been promoted to one of their national choral groups - the Sea Chanters where surprisingly he sings bass. You got Eli’s name right on the second try (rhymes with jelly). And the beatboxer’s name is Layne (rhymes with rain). I couldn’t tell you my favorite part! They did a spectacular job on this. I’d almost swear I hear a horn section on the chorus but it’s really the brightness in Eli’s voice mixed with the tight harmonies in Geoff’s arrangement.

I found you after watching Geoff's High and Dry again. I watched your reaction to that then scrolled through your videos. A very eclectic list. Enjoy.

Kathy, Geoff’s wife, was Zombie Patient One. The “stunt zombie” was played by Gruesome Greta from the Halloween store. Rick Underwood, the make up artist, airbrushed her so she more closely resembled Kathy’s makeup. (It’s not like she had a close-up, but they are the masters of a small details. 🤣) I love the part that where J is trying to get out through the door, similar to the original Michael Jackson video. His voice is so tremulous like he’s really scared that the guys are going to get him. Oooops! They did!🤣 🧟😳🎃🥕🤧👻😱🧟♂️ J also released a single, I believe on the same day. He’s performing TGIF Glide with Stefan Salters and some of the VoicePlay family is in the video toward the end when they’re doing the glide. I love how they’re such good friends and want to spend time with each other. J even brought the crazy motorcycle/mini Batmobile apparatus to the studio so the guys could see it. That little contraption is featured in J’s video.

Well l was around 18 when the original got out. Being more of a rock fan it never worked for me (although the music video had its merrits...) So when VP anounced this l thought 'Meh, most likely a one & done for me this time...' Boy was l wrong! This version works for me & most likely l have seen it more often than the original! I even revisited the original to see if my taste has changed, but no, MJs version still doesn't work for me...😜
