In this episode of Budget Build Garage, Nick talks about the cost of the Pro Street Drag Racing El Camino and explains what is next for this budget build. The plan is to turn this classic 1968 Chevy into a pro street race car. This pro street build will consist of back halving the car. Watch as we remove all of the floor and factory frame from the trans cross member on back. Then we'll install race type frame and flooring that will accept 4-links systems for the upgraded suspension. And stay tuned as we upgrade to a bigger block engine and install a Pro Charger.

If you’re putting a 632 in that car I’m gonna be extremely jealous! 😄👍🏻

I wish. It is a 496 with a supercharger. It will still put out tons of power.

Nothing wrong with a 496, I love my LS engines but they don’t make torque like a big block.

Wrong car to cut up. This is worth $$$$$ the closer to stock you can keep it. I've got a 72. They go for at least 12k for where I'm at. But hey, it is your car. Well done! Looking good. 👍

Hello Nick. I just sub. Love the vids. Here's my question. On a Chevy 350. Is the lower seal of the timing case cover separate. Or is that seal a part of the oil pan seal. I just changed my timing cover gasket and it appears to leak from lower part. Can I change oil pan gasket instead of taking front of motor apart again. Thanks for any help. Dean

Sorry for the late reply. changing the oil pan gasket will be fine. I recommend using the rubber style with the steel core. They are a bit more expensive but they are worth it.
