My number one reason for purchasing a spare ball. Changed my 10 pin pickup enormously. My average is now finally over 200 by using that spare ball. Wish I had done it years ago.

I dont use a spare ball anymore. I can flatten my wrist and throw it straight with no hook. My problem is im not always perfect on my straight as an arrow shot 😂 And it saves me time on switching the turbo thumb out.

I tend to do that too, although on really dry lanes, I will use my plastic spare ball on 6s and 9s too. Anything to the left of the 6 pin is fair game for my Nu Blu and Rhino bowling balls.

I have a few spare balls. Radical Spy Storm ICE Storm Mix. The Mix is polished Urethane. Can be used as a strike ball on very dry lanes. The Spy has a strong Asym core. Good straight when I need it to. But nice pin action on the dry a a strike ball.

While everything they say is 100% accurate, I don't use a spare ball because I was taught how to use my hook to pick the pins. I almost never miss my spares.

As a 2Hander with around 450 rev rate , I can't reduce my revs like EJ can. My spare ball still hooks slightly , I think i may need to polish my spare ball.

I would say if you avg 200 or above youre good enough and know enough that you shouldn't need a spare ball for corners but im just playing devils advocate on this one for the sake of generating engagement for your vid. 👍
