Wow, what a difference, I remember renting one with my band and trying to track. We were shocked when we had to max the gain knob on the preamp to hear anything... come a long way since then!

I have an SM7B, and it's my main vocal mic. I use it with the Howard Benson Vocal plugin and the Howard Benson Vocal Multiplier plugin. My interface is a MOTU M4, and the Royer dBooster2 will solve one of the problems I have with the mic, which is that I would not have to crank the gain on the interface. Thank you for making this video. It is very helpful.
