Good video. I'd like to you discuss cover & concealment, including utilizing hard cover vs soft cover, and the enormous benefits (and limitations) of using mortar and 320 smoke in game as well, with an emphasis on cooperating with friends in squads.

Got to start with the basics. Based on what I see people do all the time this a good place to start. You say this stuff is obvious but i bet if we were to look at your gameplay we could see many places to improve your angles. Even i still get killed a lot and realize i could have prevented it if i had just limited an angle i didn't need to expose myself to.

I'd like to see a video covering when to prioritize actions such as reloading and sprinting. I find myself getting killed by my bad times to reload my primary, and sprinting round a corner into 3 guys. Also, picking your fights would be a good pro tip.

Now I realize why I always get killed on Scrapmetal constantly! Thank you so much for videos like this. I've been watching you for about a month now and my game has really improved because of your tips. I really enjoyed the cornering video because I was always running out and completely exposing myself. Keep up the good work on these videos. I only improve by watching them!

I think most people know this in theory but the hard part is to actually be able to apply it when in a game.. I have to admit sometimes during big gunfights and crazy /attack/defense moments on rush I tend to forget about this and my covers can get really sloppy. I believe no one can say they are in the best possible angle 100% of the time, therefore no one should tell Level this video is useless. It is in fact a good introduction to how angles work and how to use them. Keep up the good work.

U are a top bloke LC! This is great how you are helping people out here. Really useful & usually I try to think about angles etc, but as I play Noshair C mainly - trying to get faster & more accurate under extreme stress - I get wasted from in front, behind, left right above etcetc but I LOVE that challenge in Noshair. Many thanks for this really useful info - as always!

This is a useful video, even though I'm a vet of fps games, battlefield has always seemed to have had its own set of rules and I've just started back to playing bf3. I would love to see more "back to basics" series maybe even some videos about the best way to start out with beginners loadouts. Love the vids level, good stuff!

Very important to be aware of while moving through a map. Only thing I'd add is applying what you demonstrated as peaking back and little ways away from a corner or a window to keep the barrel of your gun from giving away your position by sticking out of the window/corner. I get lots of kills on guys who know how to "pie" a corner because they hug it too closely letting their gun barrel stick out thus letting me know that they will be coming around it. Good job & nice video!

I’d be seriously interested on his take today about the verdanske map, I think it’s poorly designed because it’s not designed at all it’s just every good COD map slapped together with little thought but we going to the new BF so who cares about shitty warzone anyways lmao

I already did this alot of the time naturally. it's a very good tip and when used effectively you can literally control all the gun fights you're in. some times it's necessary to expose yourself, maybe for a destraction or even just to move out a little to get a kill. good video!

The point of the video is too help those who expose themselves unnecessarily to cut their corner exposure. If you do well run'N gunning, then good for you....but when you get into a Lobby full of Beast's, that run'N gun sh*t ain't gonna work for crap. If you are a good player while disregarding angles, corner-cuts, etc...then you'd be an awesome player utilizing these fundamentals....

I agree LvL was talking more about what he dose by him self, and they are great tips that will probably help me a lot. But I think squad play is the most important thing in cq. It would be cool if he showed us how other squad mates can help limit those angles of exposure in maps like that or even larger maps. I do feel that when I get a squad that sticks together on cq maps we do better then even a conquest or rush round with the same team work.

Although i see and agree with your reasoning I personally love scrap metal because of how intricate it is. my thinking on it is that it suggests a new tactic to play against. It requires more team/squad work in calling out spots. telling your squad mates a section is clear so they watch your back while you watch theirs. Plus the skill of how well you can take down targets through a mess of environment. widening you eye i guess you could say

Level, this series is great, but I would love it if you would tie in some good "shooting locations", e.g., areas that are good to hold down on certain game types where you have limited angles of exposure.

Levelcap people need to be aware where enemies spawns. If most of your teammates are in one area clearing guys you need to be aware where the posibilities enemy can pop up and limiting your area to 1 or maybe 2 angles. This can take some getting used to but it's worth it. I hope you agree :)

Hey LevelCap , your tutorials and tips are really great and it has been very useful to me . But I have a request for tips on how to break out of a nade fest in Metro Conquest servers . I'm sure most players would have encountered a nade fest while playing Metro and I swear to god , there are so many nades to the point that I can't even shoot right because of the ground shaking . What is your view on this ?

You know I don't think xfactor minds, he's got plenty of people thanking him on his own channel. More people teaching this stuff to more people is only a good thing. What counts is that people get better and play better games, that way everyone wins. Lvlcap has a different way of talking and putting things than xfactor. Hearing the same thing a second time in a different way is often a great way to understand it better.

I know LvL cap was complaining about map design i still like it because it enables 2 average players working together to play better than a player like LvL cap who usually would treble their K/D and score/minute. And personaly i think that's what dice is aiming to do with maps like scrapmetal.

About "bad map design" and being able to limit your angles: don't forget that BF3 is also a team game, open areas can be covered from more than one spot, where you cannot limit your angles yourself you might be able to rely on your teammates to cover those areas.
@rockhardxrocker
@rockhardxrocker 12 жыл бұрын
scrapmetal doesn't have good cover as Levelcap says, but I think we need some of these maps because they are realistic, and also offer variety from "good" maps. These FPS games are actually really good training platforms for actual soldiers, or at least help with training, so it's good that there's variety. Because how often would a swat member enter a building where all of the cover is precisely tactically set up, etc.

You should talk about range and what short, medium and long range is... I'm always confused with that as I am only a casual gamer and don't read strategy guides or whatever. Perhaps something to estimate range to objects to better gauge how far enemies are before trying to kill them with a SMG ;)

It doesn't have to be head-glitch spots, just spots in areas to hold down that have a lot of traffic or covering objectives. Ex: Having someone on the back stairs of Metro to make sure US doesn't flank.

Mind if I add my 2 cents? There's a difference between knowing something and being able to utilize it. Just because an amateur -knows- it's important to limit his angles doesn't mean he's good at it. And rank doesn't necessarily say much about the skills of a player, more about his dedication. I mean you can grind till colonel 100 and still suck at shooting d:

Hey mr. funny, most people don't have this though process while playing, maybe even you if you really pay attention to yourself. Also, aiming down sights and entering vehicles have some aspects that one may be not aware of: When to aim down sights or not. About vehicles is how to get out of them on the desired side, also if you hold the E key before entering the vehicle as you pass close to it you'll enter right away, this keeps you from worrying about the timing of the press. See my point now?

Hey LvLcap, Your tutorials helped me a lot, so i thought, why not translating your tutorials into german, so more germans, not understanding english, would learn more about battlefield 3. I will do it only with your agreement. If you agree, there are multiple possibillities. 1. I translate it and you paste it into your video, 2. I myself speak the translation and add it to your video, or 3. I only copy your topics and make the footage myself. Would like to hear your oppinion about it. Greetings

LevelCap, I love your videos, but open maps do not equal poorly designed maps. They just require a different strategy to run through, particularly focusing on teamwork to limit your effective angles of exposure. In other words, if your whole team is behind you and on your right, then you don't have to worry about those angles. I think they were just trying to shake up the, at times, monotonous gameplay. It's not hurting talented players, it's giving them another challenge! Keep up the good work!

@LevelCapGaming You talk about Scrapyard being bad map design because "it punishes tactical payers" but it's on of Sandy Ravages favorites. You tend to play a cerebral game but he manages to combine that with excellent twitch reflexes. Arguably you need to level up & stop camping. But at the end of the day, whatever makes you happy.

The red dot's are simply an option for close quarters engagements. (Though your point i understand is that they charge straight in like its an assault rifle, i get that, just letting you know. :P) those guys arn't the problem though, its the Semi-automatic Spray sniper rifles, (SKS, EMR, M417) that are awful. I've seen some of their trigger fingers, it might as well be an assault rifle.
