That could be the reason, yeah. Since he had a kozilek's return in the gy to reset the zombies once maybe he was more worried about liliana recurring kalitas. But that does seem like a very slim chance - he'd have to topdeck a liliana for that to matter.

What a bad decision by Yukuhiro to not kill Duskwatch. Cut off your opponent's draw engines. Who cares about a 3 toughness blocker when you have 13 power that TRAMPLES! It doesn't change the clock.

It did change the clock, he was at exactly 13, so it was an entire turn difference. Jan Ksandr also had another recruiter in hand, so in Yukuhiro's head it was more relevant to decrease the clock by a turn than making him pay 2 mana before being able to recruit.
