Longtime Heroic player here, and this deck is brilliantly tuned. No Dreadhorde Arcanist is non-standard, but makes perfect sense in the current meta, which doesn't have much of decks like Angels or Spirits where Arcanist excels. 2 Reckless Rage looked insane to me at first, but in the current meta specifically, you're faster than anything besides Amalia, and so you just want to get them dead as quickly as possible, hence 4 Homestead Courage. Finally, Loran's Escape, normally worse than Gods Willing, both protects against Supreme Verdict and can target Wildgrowth Walker during the Amalia combo to end the game in a draw.

@@albertofranca41 the loop never finishes because walker never gets destroyed, meaning you gain life again from the explore and then walker triggers -> repeat

@@albertofranca41 You target wildgrowth walker before Amalia blows everything up. Once she does, walker will keep triggering and, unless the opponent has a way to kill their own amalia, they are screwed

At 19:30, I think we tunnel visioned on using Reckless Rage when we could have gotten the same result cycling Defiant Strike.

I was thinking 1 copy of Case of the Crimson Pulse would be kind of neat, maybe in the sideboard if not the main board. Hellbent status is very likely to happen with this deck, but maybe it’s too slow. Idk, I haven’t tried it yet.

Might be too cute but I think lorans escape can ruin the demolition by making the artifact hexproof and the spell fizzles? Could be wrong

Nah it still gives tokens even if the artifact survives

(it doesn't fizzle, you can't fizzle with hexproof if opponent controls the permanent)

You can see why MTG is the inferior card game... you guys miss a land drop and suddenly your gameplan goes to the shitter or you keep those land in your hand for what... its so absurd, i wish mtg level up and remove lands all together, energy or mana or whatever the mechanics are using these days are way better
