Its shame that one of the most informative channels gets so little views. This could easily become the "Art of Wrestling" of KZbin, knowledge, interviews and cool stories. PJ if you see this, stick with this program. I look forward to it every week and so do others. I'm sure you're not needing advice but I highly recommend spending some more time on here interacting with the fans. Almost every video I see has questions going unanswered. I'm sure you're a busy guy but those fans are reaching out to you brother! I want to do anything I can to make sure my favourite web show continues for as long as possible.

Justin Credible You're best kind good sir! If I'm ever lucky enough to get a chance to meet ya, I'll be sure to introduce myself and shake your hand.... I may have to ask for an autograph though haha * Sorry, that made me think of a question. What's the general consensuses on "marking out" backstage at events? Does it happen? Have you ever seen talent ask for autographs backstage? **And this is a strange one but I guess I'd never know if I didn't ask. Let's just say: Justin Credible, Danny Doring & Tony DeVito were working a local event nearby. Would you guys trade knowledge for page services for a poor ass fella who loves wrestling? For real man! I would literally work for you if I could just sit there and listen to you.

Leaving aside wrestling, this is good life advice. If you want to get anywhere in life, you listen to and learn from your elders. You treat people with respect. You look them in the eye and speak up, in a respectful manner. If you can do that, they will respond in kind. If you do that, they will be willing to impart their wisdom. If you want to learn, you have to ask and get someone to show you how it's done. Respect and enthusiasm go a long way to accomplish that. You also give them your full attention when they are giving you that wisdom; you don't stare at your phone while a text comes in, or surf the net while they speak. If you have to leave or take care of something, excuse yourself and explain the situation and ask if you can pick the session back up in the future, at their leisure. That will bring you success. It's also a heck of a lot faster way to learn than trial and error.
@TrueNomadSkies
@TrueNomadSkies 2 жыл бұрын
This got recommended to me seven years later, but it's still true in almost any line of work. When you're respectful and observant, you will learn more, and be remembered. If those are the only two things someone important who barely knows you can recall when you get brought up or there is an open spot, you have opened the door for yourself. Being respectful and observant won't guarentee anything anywhere, but being a dick who doesn't seem interested is guarenteed to hurt you.

Justin, I've been a huge fan of your since your "enhancement" days, and I want to say thank you for your dedication! My son is 11, and wants to be a pro wrestler more than anything in the world. He already has his plan. Graduate high school, go to college and work on his degree (he wants to be a cop also). He wrestles for his local rec club, and when he gets to middle school wants to wrestle for his school. I will support anything my son wants to do

So if you have an opportunity, could you please give me some advice for a few tips on what I can do to help him and encourage his dreams until he is legally able to train.? And is there ANYTHING I can do, other than show him every piece of wrestling I can get my hands on for him to watch and study? My son is 11, and he doesn't "watch" WWE or TNA, or ROH, or CZW ( we live 10 minutes from where CZW is based out of in Voorhees, and that is where he said he wants to train). He STUDIES them. Thank you again for anything you can offer. I have been showing him your ECW stuff, and loves it, and he wants me to ask you how he can get your autograph. He wants to be a heel, he practices drawing heat from his friends when they are out on the trampoline every day! Thank you again sir!

@@MPHswayze actually I do. My son started moving away from police work, but wrestled throughout high school. He fell in love with filmography in high school. He was on his HS’s tv crew, and won an actual Emmy award for his film direction work in a live stream high school sporting event. He goes to Rowan University in South Jersey, majoring in Radio, Film and TV. He is currently interning for Matt Tremont’s promotion in Williamstown, NJ Hardcore Hustle Organization (H2O Wrestling) and IWTV as a live stream film director and hard camera operator. He also helps with the music selection, sound engineering, editing the events to be ready for distribution. He also helps the company film their vignettes for upcoming events as well. And finally, he said that he wants to start training with Matt, and possibly step into the ring as a talent as well. So that’s the latest update.

Hey Mr. Polaco. I'm a long time fan of the business and the few times that I was able to see you work, you were a heel. I COULD NOT STAND YOU! But having said that, just goes to show that you were an inCREDIBLE worker when it came to honing your craft! A bad guy was what you were supposed to come across as and MAN, did you deliver! I've always been a face type of fan but when it comes to pro wrestling, there has got to be a fan favorite and a hated opponent in the ring at the same time or the match will be boring. You controlled the crowd and gave them what we wanted, night after night. I may have not been a fan of Justin Credible but I am truly a fan of Peter Polaco. keep up the awesome work, we need more people like yourself in the business. Thank you for your time, Sir.

You did make the superkick famous. The entire Japanese population had never seen it before until you knocked out the Great Sasuke with it! without even seeing the video I was already in the thinking of: if you want to use a specific move ask if it's ok. i'm in the process of starting training soon and of course I already fantasize on moves, signatures etc I always taught a leapfrog bulldog would be nice, and I have recently Seen Kenny Omega use it, my first reaction was: well I better find a way to eventually reach to him and ask if I can use it. these videos are really interesting i'm just discovering them, a good binge watch for sure.

These videos are gold. I wish I had seen this before. As a wrestling fan for over 25 years, it's refreshing for someone to be honest. Too many "stars" in the business today won't acknowledge anyone else outside of the bubble they operate in. People hate on Triple H, but the guy isn't afraid to do what works. When Batista was getting pushed, Triple H put him over three pay per views in a row. That's how to help someone. Triple H isn't in the spotlight now to promote himself, he's there for the bigger picture of getting guys like Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns over. Thank you so much Justin for your honesty. If young indie guys would listen to vets like you, it would make a world of difference. Thanks man.

So why is it some guys see the kids as having an ulterior motive for being "overly professional"? case example what happened to leroy kincade had been brought up the right way in the business (mentored by alex shane). acted in a professional manner but had the blockers put on him because some people thought he had an ulterior motive.

A good example of what he's talking about is JBL and Scott Hall. Before he went by 'JBL" he went by just Bradshaw (teamed with Ron Simmons and they had a kick ass tag team) and he used 2 of Hall's moves. the fall away slam aka the sack of shit and the back suplex from the ropes. When WWE brought back the nWo JBL out of respect for Hall stopped using those 2 moves.

I've got a question about choosing wrestling names (for people just starting out). If an Indy wrestler (that's no longer wrestling) influenced you a lot, is it disrespectful to use part of their name as part of your characters name? Or is it best just to ask the specific Indy wrestler who influenced you (if possible)?
@bradnimbus4836
@bradnimbus4836 10 жыл бұрын
Definitely not! As long as you don't copy the name chances are they wouldn't mind at all! Most of the character guys would appreciate the respect you are showing by asking that question in the first place. (May I ask what you're thinking of?)

I've got a (probably stupid) question for ya: do wrestlers prefer to be addressed by their working names or their real names when interacting with fans? Or is it situational, in that if I see you at the venue when you're working, I'd call you Justin and if I bump into you at the grocery store, I call you Peter (or P.J., as I see in some comments)?

Do you have to swear??????!!!! You should try to reach that higher level of cleaner speech!!!!!!! ;*D Speaking of locker room etiquette reminds me of when I was trying to make a name for myself in the illegal underground fighting tournaments back in the effervescent eighties, and because I was considered too much of a "pretty boy" for them to let me fight at first, all they'd let me do is stand by the ring with a bucket, and wash the willies of all the veteran fighters! But one time when I was buying soap at the local Aldi supermarket, I accidentally bought a highly toxic roll of sulphur instead of soap (because they look alike), and as I was washing the willy of a 7'8" fighter with it, he started screaming in pain as his willy was shooting out green bubble from the sulphuric roll! Then he said, "THAT'S IT, YOU AND ME IN THE RING NOW, WILLY WASHER BOY!" And that's how I got my big break as a professional fighter!

BUT some of it should just be called wrestling POLITICS. and then, this is just me, but what if you just hate the shit that some guys do in the name of "wrestling" nowadays and you just want to stick to the karl gotch, billy robinson, lou thesz, larry zbysco, iron sheik, etc.? i guess you're best bet would be to quit. otherwise you better stick to jobbing, and it's not just gonna last 4 months.

yeah but listen to him just keep calling it "this business" instead of "this sport". think about it.

All sports (even predetermined pro wrestling) from UFC to NHL are businesses. Look at the NFL... hell, even look at Olympics.
