I’m not a pilot-I’m an attorney…but I have learned a lot from Dan Gryder-he’s willing to go out on a limb, he trusts his gut, and he’s managed to shake things up in an industry that has gotten things wrong too many times. Keep up the great work. I appreciate you.

This is such good stuff, 26:50. AQP was nothing my father and I had ever heard of, however. This principle was a major factor in our surviving the engine failure in our Bonanza at 900ft AGL just after takeoff with a 20kt head wind. Long story short, terrified on the inside but conditioned. This equaled proper instinct. No stall, nose down, clean configuration and successful gear up landing in a field. We went to Wendys for lunch. Video if anyone is interested---> kzbin.info/www/bejne/nXmVYXygidynitU Thanks for posting!

I think what you do is a wonderful as well as an imperative job to keep our FAA in order. These people are paid to be lazy. And they have you breathing down there next. I lost my brother on Christmas Eve 1996 when his Learjet crashed into a mountain, as a result of a failed ILS and a law stating that they cannot report ground equipment reliability, and failures. I’ll just keep sailing thank you. You’re doing a great job, Dan!

That moment something happens that is unexpected. With training you can do what is needed in that next second to save your life and the lives of your passengers. Only by practice, drill and rehearsal can this mindset be accomplished. Thanks to Dan this culture is being fostered among general aviation pilots and lives are being saved. Thank you Dan Gryder.

Great lecture! I'm not a pilot yet, but am getting there. I wish you'd keep your older videos up. Google loves CONTENT. Removing it does you no good. People will share the videos and they'll get posted far and wide, and you'll get lots of backlinks over time, and THAT is what Google likes. Posting them then removing them leaves a ton of dead backlinks when people don't realize they've been deleted. That's NOT GOOD. Besides, your info is priceless! It SAVES LIVES! So why remove it? All the naysayers leave theirs up forever, and that's all that's left. If you're not monetizing your channel, then the BACKLINKS are your MOST VALUABLE ASSET next to the content itself.

Thank you Dan. Great lecture for the pilots & pilots to be. I like your end chat about icing, night flights and flights in and around convective activity. I earned my initial licenses in Sacramento, CA, Q96, Natomas Air Park. Houses cover what was once the airport and the last vestige of the airport in the large old main hangar, and the club house for the now extinct American Areo Club. My first instructor emphasized…. Never fly single engine at night over mountainous terrain like Nevada…. Then for effect he said…. If you lose your engine at night then as you descend turn on the landing light …. If you don’t like what you see… turn it off….. the message was inescapable. You die. Thank you Dan for passing the baton.

Millican and Blanco are being meanies. Dan had possession of the light from the Idaho crash, but it is now in possession of the right people.
