I have been telling my self to travel and quit my job For ages. I sold my house and got ready and never quit my job. But I have plans to travel for the next two months and work remote in the evenings. I think after that I might jump in completely we shall see. I am happy I found your channel.

I COMPLETELY understand the nerves behind leaving a job to do this full-time. That’s something we struggled with initially, and Hannah still works part time with her old employer. The remote work is such a great option and honestly, it’s not slowed down our ability to make our travels what we want them to be. So those two months are going to be SO much fun for you!!! We took the leap and haven’t regretted it a single bit, and I’m sure you’ll feel the same way. Keep us up to date on your travels and thank you so much for taking the time to watch our video. My partner and I are hopping across the pond starting May 1st. So far we’re saying in France, Croatia, Scotland, and Iceland - any advice for some fellow nomads? Could you do a video on all the boring stuff-visas, Covid, travel insurance, medicines through customs- all the stuff I’m stressing about?!? But seriously, we’re thinking about starting a channel and want to know if you’d recommend it. What’s your favorite travel gear? Gah, I’m just so exited to keep watching!

@@s1ren_s0ng I'm so glad you found it!! We definitely could've packed lighter, but we figured if we were going to carry basically everything we own then we might as well bring necessities as well as some items that make us happy (hence the workout dress🤣) We've talked about making a video of some kind that would go more in detail on those items because there's honestly SO MUCH that goes into this lifestyle beyond what to bring. As far as visas, we keep a really close eye on how long we're in the Schengen Area. You can only stay in the area for 90 days in a 180 day period so we're currently spending 35 days in the UK to off-set it a bit. But so far we've not had to worry too much about visas as most countries that aren't within Schengen allow Americans to stay on tourist visas for at least 30 days, which is PLENTY of time for us & our goals with travel. We're very lucky in that we don't have any medications & got our vaccines/booster before we left the US so we've really not ran into much issue on those fronts since arriving. Europe is mostly completely open & we're sticking to countries that don't require mandatory COVID tests since they can get REALLY expensive over here. If you're looking for travel insurance then look at Cigna! That's the provider we opted for & it covers us everywhere in Europe for a very reasonable price! And YES YOU SHOULD ABSOLUTELY START A CHANNEL!! It'll at the very least give you something to do while you're gone & your future self will be SO THANKFUL to look back on those videos/memories. I randomly came across your packing for 12 months video and instantly subscribed. Now I’m watching from the beginning so I am a couple months behind but will catch up pretty soon. I’m old enough to be your father and can say that I wholeheartedly agree with professor Chin. Lifelong learning is important and I only discovered that in the last couple years. I did lots of traveling when I was your age for work but now I’m retired and travel is a lot more enjoyable for me. Although I’ve been grounded for the last couple years, my last three trips included Spain. I wish I found your channel earlier so I could have made a few suggestions. Congrats on getting the donation to eat at Botin. I enjoyed it but I don’t make it a habit of spending that much on one meal. We just felt like if there was ever a time to go out & see as much of the world as we could then we had to leave now. We got married in February 2021 & one of the things we asked for from some family was a donation so that we could try Botin. That's definitely a once every blue moon type of meal. Most days we're just eating crackers & cheese or finding 2 euro slices of pizza 🤣. It's not the most glamorous but it helps us stay on the road longer!! We're so incredibly happy to have you in this little community we're building & can't wait to hear/chat with you in the comments on future videos!!

Just one piece of advice...try to stay in each place longer if you can. Slow travel is cheaper than racing around and less exhausting.
