That is so 80s when he said ride off the ramp!! Because we used to build ramps and ride our bikes or skateboards off of them!!! Such a classic statement!!❤❤❤

This one video makes me realize why your family and projects are so appealing. Smartalecky kids and then to realize they come by it honestly and get it from their parents!! Ashley breaking the fourth wall and talking directly to her Dad means she still harkens to his advice. I still call mine up and talk over the most mundane steps to the projects I'm currently working on- had never thought to video all of it for him until now. Thanks for that inspiration Ash! Love the problem solving, synergy and play that your whole family experiences with the critters clearly being a part of the activities.

Kids humor when critical thinking in the midst of hard work is challenging. I just want to commend you for taking their comments and joking around like an amazing pro that you are. Keep kicking butt!! We all are rooting for you. You work so hard and it doesn't go unnoticed. ❤🥰

If your blade is not cutting ideally, make multiple passes, starting with a shallower depth and creeping up on the thru cut. I have a nice plywood blade for my circular saw, but I found it wants to bend and wander when I cut 3/4 plywood., but if I cut a quarter at a time it makes a much nicer final cut. Also, rather than calling that a ramp, I'd call it a bridge, which sounds a lot more engineery.

Clever idea,you will have to either make a new one or adjust that one effort the layer after.But something tells me with that snow you will be having some time off for a while.We have snow coming too it was coming on the 16 January my Birthday but now moved over a few days later,,does not look like much though.Good job as the U.K. comes to a standstill ,we tend to panic lol! We used to have really bad winters here where I live now!but recently we get fewer snow falls and they go as fast as they come..They do look so pretty .Your fur babies were having fun in it,amazing how excited they get over the silliest of things…Love n Hugs to you all I am sure you will all have a bit of fun in the snow..You have to don’t you lol!🥰

Nah we just had to wait a day for it to melt, already back to it :) The ramp is built to go over the floor level wall (4 bags) and the door frame so it will be permanently installed. We'll actually have 3 ramps total to get to different walls.

All the walls have to be built at the same time since where they intersect have to interlock kind of like lincoln logs. But the whole idea behind the ramps is we're installing them where door frames will be so we can keep them there.

Where do you find the big rolls of hardware cloth? I’m in Cochise county too. I’ve just started a little project and have already done the bottom 2 rows of only gravel. Now I’m worrying about the rats. It’s just a little greenhouse space but still I’m putting some cob and window walls on the gravel bag foundation. I was going to cover with stabilized cob on the outside or butt up tin next to it. Next project I’ll use the hardware cloth. Thanks for teaching and inspiring us all.

Are the ramps as wide as the door frames? If so you can use them as the base of the door frame and put them where the doors will go. Then can stay in place as long as you need them. As long as the height beneath them is right for the door.
@TinyShinyHome10 ай бұрын
Yes they're built to go over the door frames and will fit inside no problem. So we'll have to take them out one or two more times to add the 4th layer and door frame and then they should stay in place the rest of the build.

Had it left over from the foundation house pad, used it in some bags and it is like 100x better because of the ratio (30/30/30 clay, rock sand). Rock solid and walkable immediately after tamping where as our native soil you had to stay off 24 hrs.
