Are they "not getting their old face back" because of the filler being dissolved, or because of normal ageing process, which does change your face and cause hollowing? You may have looked that way anyway, but you just staved it off or disguised by using fillers. Normally, because the change is gradual, you don't really notice those age-related changes but, if you dissolve all your filler in one go, it's very sudden. Even if you only had it a year, a lot can change in a year.
@k8eee3 сағат бұрын
it's also because fillers stretch your skin-- if it's dissolved, the skin can't snap back into the exact same shape as before (and also yes of course they've aged since they got the filler, there's no way to reverse time!!!)
@TaylerBootz2 сағат бұрын
Filler that is hyaluronic acid is often devolved with something that dissolves all hyaluronic acid, even the natural stuff in your skin. People have had their skin separated from their face due to this. Filler has been found to not go away on its own. The whole thing is scary.

To preface, these unqualified people doing these unlicensed procedures DEFINITELY need to be stopped and held accountable, and measures need to be taken to prevent these kinds of procedures from being done. But there's something bothering me, too. At this point, in 2024, if someone is on the internet enough to feel bad about themselves bc they don't fit the current beauty trends, then they're online enough--again, at this point in 2024--to have seen videos and news articles covering the topic of back alley beauty treatments that end in injury or death. To be sure, the victims do NOT deserve what they went through, but it's also frustrating bc girl. Did you do ANY research? At what point does it become self-inflicted (in a sense, anyway)? Genuinely wondering here, like I'm trying to say all this as delicately and understandingly as possible, but there's copious amounts of information online denouncing this kind of shit. Why do people keep doing it? If it's out of desperation to fit the beauty trend, then I have no sympathy you got what you paid/didn't research for. Some people just cannot be saved from themselves. Idk...
@diana2063Сағат бұрын
People are really allergic to accountability these days. They’d rather blame everyone and everything but themselves. Ever heard someone say they didn’t know before they had kids that babies cry a lot, and “why didn’t anyone tell me it’s hard?” Same thing.

When he said the same doctor that did his salmon injections under the eye told him that there’s a safe way to remove the filler without causing sagginess. I was just like wow. I won’t even say anything about the salmon injections, but any doctor trying to pretend that there’s a Safeway to remove filler without causing sagging this is literally just trying to get your money. It’s plain and simple and it’s common sense. Think about the ladies who have to get their breast implants removed? They always end up having sagging breast. The point is you stretched out that skin you filled it up and you’ve worn out the elasticity of it. if you’re young enough sure maybe it will snap back but the harsh reality is a lot of us are in our 30s and 40s getting this done and our collagen and elasticity is not there anymore like it used to be and you’re just gonna be left with sagging because you filled something up like a balloon and now you’ve taken that volume out There’s no way around it. You stretched it out. It’s gonna sag now.

I am 45 and I don't have anything in my face or body (I use tretinoin and that's as far as I'm going) and the idea that capitalism has convinced a globe full of humans that not only are we not allowed to age, but our DNA is unacceptable and we MUST fill, alter, and paralyse our faces in the name of feeling good about ourselves is utterly dystopian.

NEW Subscriber I LOVE your honesty along with your knowledge is so refreshing because it is obvious you DO your research. @15:30 Yes the removal causes issues I think the words you were searching for were Volume & elasticity, while allowing your fillers to be slowly dissolved will help considerably with those issues, BUT the understanding & acceptance of the normal aging process might be a whole different issue I also think it might be easier psychologically to stagger the removal as well, I think plastic surgery needs to have a better relationship with mental health I better stop here.

So if diversity is about including black people, what about including native americans, the LGBTQ community, etc? With all due respect, diversity is a broad spectrum, not just black people.
@kilahb37424 сағат бұрын
Diversity IS about including Indigenous peoples and people who are part of the LGBTQ community. I think black people are at the forefront(?) of this diversity push because we are still underrepresented and if we are represented, there's push back or hate directored towards those individuals more so than other groups. It's only recently, I would say in the last 10ish years that there are foundation colors that match people of darker skin tones, a majority of which are black people, where there are t.v. shows that cast diverse groups, including black people, and not just in the role of the sassy black friend. Obviously diversity is more than black people, but why is it when black people are getting the 'spot light', we start with the 'what about...'? I genuinely think that the more black people are included, the more people will see that if you can include a black person and still be well received, the more other diverse group can too be included! Obviously we still have a long way to go, by including Indigenous peoples and Trans people, (and people with varying intersectionalities) but even then, we have started! Which is, I think, still a huge win! I hope that made sense and didn't come off rude!!!!
@morgianasartre67094 сағат бұрын
Maybe the brand already ticked all the other boxes so they could only focus on the issue of black people. 🤭 You know, because people always have to nitpick and complain about something, drama is content and content is money.

@kilahb3742 I get you. I think the woman in the video was kind of overreacting by making it a bigger issue than it is. Perhaps the influencers just happened to be white.
@kilahb37424 сағат бұрын
@@joanbecenti8938 I don't necessarily think she was overreacting, but I do see your point! I think at this point, in our day and age, it is sus when brands have these trips and don't have any black people, but other people of color or no POCs. Especially when they invite creators from countries with a larger black population. Like I don't expect to see a black or brown creator coming from Korea, but when you invite people from the UK or the US, I do. I think it's fair to call this stuff out because, at this point, it does feel like a conscious thing, or at least something you should be aware of when doing publicity events like this. And maybe the influencers did just happen to be white, but then you have to think about why? Like, who made the list? Whether consciously or not, if you have other white people making that list, they may go for and may be more likely to choose people who look like them and to who they relate more.

The brand can invite anyone they want, why do we need to cancel everyone for literary anything? If James, who is pale and white, considers himself as person of color, why that girl on tik-tok didn't think that other "too white" influencers aren't ppl of color? 8:45 so does it also mean that we must boycott black brands just because they do products for black skin and ppl with light skin aren't target audience and can't use their products?
@maya65625 сағат бұрын
Being pale and fair-skinned doesn’t mean he’s white.
@psychedoublezero4 сағат бұрын
Yall love this word cancel even tho cancelling isn’t a thing 🤭 I’m sorry but if you can’t see the anti blackness and racism then you’re definitely apart of the issue. People will call that bigoted behavior out, it’s not “cancelling” anyone especially since the company did that to themselves by being weird. And in general black owned makeup companies DO have products for lighter skinned people so 💀. You’re probably like 10 because ain’t no way a late teen or an adult wouldn’t know why racism and anti blackness should be a line that should be drawn. Also James isn’t white (edit: he’s not JUST white, he’s white and Mexican forgot to add that), just because someone is paler doesn’t erase their POC identity because if it did albino black people would be considered white. Y’all need to READ and REFLECT ON YOUR INTERNAL BIASES more before talking.

@syd6584 сағат бұрын
Here you all go with that cancel word. No one is canceling anyone. Just because he's pale doesn't mean he's not a person of color. By that logic, Asian people with lighter skin shouldn't be considered Poc.

This genuinely breaks my heart. I’ve felt the pressure to change my body in one way or another. If you’re doing it for you, then absolutely go for it! But if it’s because social media and its unrealistic standards have sucked you in, that’s a different story. I’m 30 now and basically skipped puberty 🤣-still rocking an AA cup size. I remember wanting a boob job when I was younger because that’s all I saw online. It took a lot of grounding and reminding myself to love me for me. As a teen, I was obsessed with needing a “thigh gap” thanks to Tumblr, which led to an eating disorder. I was bullied for my eye shape and being Asian, and I even considered eyelid surgery to look more “normal.” Now, people are getting fox-eye surgery to change their eye shape. When fillers and Botox became popular, I had to ground myself again 😫. Now, seeing people dissolve them improperly is equally horrifying. (Just to be clear, there’s nothing wrong with changing your appearance-this is just my personal experience.) Please don’t let social media or the internet make you feel like you’re not enough. You are enough, just as you are 🤍
