I remember the centurions growing up, a friend had most of them, but we always played Joes. Why? because as you said, they were just too big. Same with Sectaurs. We did incorporate Visionairies, Crystar and DnD, amongst other, because all the figs were 3 3/4. I like what Ramen Toys is doing and has done. BUT their Price Point is OUTRAGEOUS imo, not to mention MASK isn't 4 inch. The Black and Orange cars look awesome, but the Price Point has me sitting on the sideline. Such a shame. Haslabs GR Charger FAILED for that very reason. The Fans didn't see Value in it, and I think that's the same problem Ramen Toys is going to have. Great topic

Yep the price is high an if it is a Franchise you love you may support it. The Ramen Racer is cool but I am out on the Ghost rider version but Maybe in on the Orange

I loved the Centurions show, but the closest I got as a toy was Mantech from Remco.

Mantech feels like an early version of Centurions maybe Kenner copied them and made improvements

Nice coverage of these Centurions. Yes, the Dungeons & Dragons 2023 movie was entertaining and good. It was great to see the animated series at least. Good point about unique, rare retro limited editions!

I bet a live action centurions movie would be a hit with Ace and his constantly hitting on Women and Serious Max and then there is Jake. Would it move toys????

Yep there are many collectors who will get the main cast of a show and that is it. I really feel like this show would do well in say a Marvel type movie

I only collect bnib vintage centurions. I've got a good chunk of the line with seabat being the most recent nib find and that was pure luck. Getting the weapons systems and figure of the max ray asian horde about 10 years ago gave the collection a good boost too. Sadly at the current prices I am unlikely to fill any gaps I have left even if I sell off my duplicates to fund them. I've given up on finding a nib swingshot a long time ago and I recall rex and John were never complete with box.

For me, modern just doesn't fit with the vintage and I feel like it's too much to start another line. I would've backed the vintage John Thunder if I had known about it.

Ramen has the design work done and prototypes. They can revisit this project in a couple years once they grow and more collectors know about them

I did know about it, and I was excited, but they were only offering it with his large weapon system, and it was just too much money. Likely because they made it electronic so it would roll and spin on it's own. They probably could've brought the costs down by eliminating the electronics. Besides, Most of us collectors just stand these things on a shelf and never/rarely touch them, so it doesn't need to have all those bells and whistles.

My brothers and I were each given a Centurion figure and a weapon system set on Christmas 1986/87. I had Ace and the Orbital Interceptor. We loved them, but the line was no longer in stores by the next Xmas, so we didn't get any more add-ons. I never even heard of those 2nd wave characters until decades later, so they don't interest me. But more weapons systems for the original three would be welcome - more parts for making custom creations. The Ramen Toys stuff looks great, but they're just too expensive for me. For six-inch figures, ~$80 is more than I'm willing to pay. Especially since you can only buy all three as a set. If they were as large as the vintage figures, and had all the gimmicks (essentially reissues of the vintage toys), I might buy them for that price.

Yep the vintage line was small and could not hold the attention long enough to get out more stuff while Gi Joe was cranking out wave after wave after wave of figures we never saw in the show

I pre-ordered two Landrones Mike... There's no way I can make a modern Centurions collection if I try to collect the vintage line... Way too expensive plus I like the new designs from Ramen Toy... I want to see made next Doc Terror Mike.😃 You should interview Ace on a Centurion / 80s Commander's video 💡😎

From a big picture Ramen toy is way cheaper than going Vintage and it is up to individual collectors which route to go.

I wasn’t crazy about John Thunder. It just looked weird. I was on the fence about the phantom foil because it’s $180 with the figure. Kind of steep! But your research kind of showed me how rare this accessory is. I may have to get it as it’s unique

Yep the price is high due to low production and even this will still be rare when it is produced! Would be fun to have this in any collection

I promote products I like. I also like some Takara and Fanstoys figures and that Liketoys Metroplex. Now I am not buying the Ramen racer as I do not collect Marvel but it still is cool
