The ones that are being built fast are people that live abroad or in other parts of ghana running nice businesses or friends of politicians 🤦🏾♂️ sometimes people do want to sell their structures when they feel they can go on. Most American homes dont have any fences or barriers in the front yard, even in challenging neighborhoods. And our use of fences is mostly about proeprty line delineation not security. I bought an existing house for over $200,000 which is now very cheap as properties have really gone up in value. I would have preferred building my own under my own specs but I could not cope with the hussle. Often the land is sold to multiple buyers and you may find yourself in court trying to establish ownership and paying a lot of bribes to do so. Ghana adopted international building codes over the course of 2017/18 in an effort to standardize their buidling codes. There are also municpal codes. However, Ghanaians are willful people and there's a lack of enforcement. Those houses are required to have uniform setbacks for utilities, sidewalks, roads. One of the thing I remember from a month-long visit to Germany a few years ago was how I was able to find some really, really good deals on food at the grocery story. Usually it was stuff that simply had to be sold that day or thrown away, and it was marked down considerably. If you wanted to, you could simply walk to the grocery store every day, buy whatever was on sale, and just make a day's worth of meals out of that. There's just not an equivalent system where I live in the US. Grocers would rather throw food away than to heavily discount it.

Best thing to do to construct good roads in the neighbouring is to team up/once you have built your hse you should be able to contribute for the roads and the gutters before the government will step in. Any house who do not pay up for the contribution should not be allowed to pass through. That was what we saw years ago at Asylum Down/Adabraka/Farrar Avenue and the Off Farrar Avenue. 1956/1960 upwards professionals/business women's name it Indians/Syrians/Greeks every nationality and PWD took over to give us nice roads. Pipes in every house. Hence today.

I would build my Home in this area ..The bad roads are not really an issues a lot of towns the residents form a Neighborhood watch open an account with a reputable financial institution and contribute . Notice there’s no street lights the same would be do to solve that issue too however it would be Solar’s.. there will have to be the creation of tunnel for water when it rains to prevent flooding there could be a few Man made ponds that will collect the water that will be used for irrigation by farmers.. I have been contemplating weather to purchase a property in Ghana ,Tanzania or Niger. I have been doing my research however I am making plans to visit the continent next year March or earlier..loads of thanks for this upload.

PORK IS DEADLY! Queretaro would be cooler for you. I am a brown woman born in 1942 Chicago, and you are correct. God will take care.I left the USA in 2021. Move to Mexico. Work online on retirement income. YOU still must be ALERT to deadly criminals in all occupations. My parents and Chicago showed me how to survive in an honest way, and be moral and responsible. I love you. I live in Mexico, and I did buy emergency pesos, when i came here in 2021. Starting July 13, I will use my emergency pesos to pay rent for the next 5 months. My rent went from $673 per months to$874 per month for the same apartment, that I love. It does include all utilities, wifi, maid and security, and 100% beautifully furnished. My pensions comes on a USA debit card, and ATM fees are refunded. I always stock up on 6 months preps. I paid $1900 per month for everything when i left the deadly and expensive USA at 79 in 2021. I do not want a Mexican banl account for it would be hard for my American family to get my savings. Queretaro, but always be alert anywhere. Merida is too hot, and Acapulco had too many earthquakes. Over 60 years coming to Mexico, all USA states., and all over the world on my own dime, Allah u Akbar. God is great. RIP everyone around the world. The dollar is falling in Mexico, so rents are higher each month. I was born in Chicago in 1942, then Oak Park, downtown, and last to Waukegan, before moving to Queretaro in 2021 at 79. Queretaro works for me. Safe, Cool, and I have local friends. Singaporean laws. Send all criminals from top to bottom to Ukraine and Sudan. Fentanyl tablet for all killers and rapists. Shave heads of males and females with felonies. Leave the USA. I worry about nothing, but that is how I am. I am retired, and at the age of 79 I do not need money from anyone, for I am a giver to non beggars, so they can help themselves. I do not like beggars, or scammers asking for loans or donations. Keep your USA income, and just visit the different countries on vacation time. Never depend on donations. Help non beggars help themselves. Do not use any drugs. Trust only GOD. Keep written, audio, and video journals. Be married, even if you have separate homes, if you want sex and a baby after 35 for women, and 45 for me. You need your own space. Queretaro works for me, after over 60 years visiting and living part time, and WORKING in the USA, Live where you can afford, and you are happy with the climate, safety etc. Send all criminals from the supreme court on down to Ukraine and the Sudan, Karma never loses an address. YOU will reap what you have sown. I moved to Queretaro on 11-2-2021, and I am loving this city, and have lived in the same beautiful apartment, since day 1. At 79, I will stay here, until I die, and I will never take a test, pills, or injections, for I know my body. I am too old for visa runs, and I do have a highly recommended man, that will work for me. to get the temp retirement visa. The people here have been super kind and respectful, and I am the same towards them. I do not have to walk, for I have many new friends with cars. I wish the best for both of you, and so happy, that I worked from 7-70, and my pension supports me much better , than in the USA and it is safer, cleaner, and $850 less per month. Mexico has been my favorite place, since I visited in 1962 at age 20, and fell in love with Acapulco, but not the 6 earthquakes, that I have experienced there and one hurricane. I do speak Spanish as a second language. I love my own chicken wings etc. lol All for now, and stay blessed and safe always. I can live anyplace in the world, but since I am more familiar with my next door neighbor(Mexico), i am comfortable here. I am USA Muslim, and Africans are everywhere. My DNA is African, First Nation, and Scottish. (grandfather). God has been great to me, and I am so thankful. All lives matter.... Let go and let God always.

Actually there is waste collection in Ghana. Solid waste collection in Accra is mostly privatized. The city contracts with 10 waste collection firms that are responsible for all residential, commercial, and industrial waste generated in their respective collection districts. The city estimates that 88% of waste generated in areas where it provides collection services is collected. However, waste collection services are only provided in a limited area; only 40% of households in the city have waste collection bins. Accra is working to increase its waste collection coverage, especially in low‐income areas of the city. But people will burn their waste. Perhaps you should contact the local council and see what services they have there. Or perhaps start your own company. There are also recycling companies, that you can contact to collect bottles or put a container in your community.

The roads were only demarcated by the surveyors it's up to the private developers to complete it to their standard but if you make it as a community project the government will come in to support with gadgets and human resources. Go to your District Assembly see the director or your Assembly man for advice.
