Long story short, problem with cranckbrothers hub and fox rear shock... No issues with the frame?

I recently took delivery of a YT Izzo Core 2. Waiting anxiously for the weather to warm-up enough to ride and your video is making me quite disturbed. Hope your experience is an exception and hope that you get your issues resolved to your satisfaction.

Don't worry about any of the issues here. It mostly sounds like bad luck (possibly combined with some errors in set up). I bought the core 4 on clearence and had about 2 weeks of riding on it, mine has been flawless (save for some shifting adjustment out of the box) and I'm riding much more aggressively, on more technical terrain. While we don't know the exsct issue with the shock, it sounds like a set up problem. There is always float fluid in the air chamber and it can, especially with the upside down shock configuration, shoot oil out at you. I tend to flip the bike upside down, when adding or releasing air, it makes a huge difference. On the note of stiffness on the rear end, I also think that could have been a shock set up issue. When yt dropped the grip shift suspension lockout, they added an extra negative volume reducer to the shock, ehich adds firmness. it could be related to that, or because travel was involved, elevation changes could have had a massively negative impact on the rear end feel here. The moral of your story is: check your shock and fork pressures (as well as sag) any time you travel. If you're staying put, check them once a week.

I have a green Core2 that I received in November. I've put at least 500 miles on it so far and the bike has had zero issues.

If you haven't tried this yet, remove the two red spacers in the fox shocks negative chamber. You will have to add more air and figure out the correct pressure to get your sag right. The shock will feel much better going through its travel.

Unfortunately, the damper catastrophically failed. The shock is being replaced under warranty.

Out of curiosity, what does your beefed up Izzo with the 36 weigh?

Six months ago, I sought your advice regarding size selection on your "Introducing the YT Izzo: Core 2" video. I opted for an XL, which proved to be fine. I also got it on December for €1,999.00. I concur on the NX drivetrain. It works ok. My major issiue is with the Crankbrothers Synthesis wheels. Initially skeptical about acquiring 26mm width rims in 2024, I relied on positive reviews and proceeded with the purchase. Now, with nearly 400km logged on the bike, the rims are out of true and woobly, exhibiting not only lateral deviations but also radial ones, both front and rear! They are well beond the zip tie truing trick and need to go on a bike shop workstand. The rims are also heavily scarfed! They look like DTSwiss rims after 3000Km. I was really disapointed with them, since I was thinking to upgrate to an XD driver. Regrettably, I am now in search of a new, more updated wheelset with high engagment and 30mm wide rims. I really enjoy your videos. I always appreciate the heads-up. Keep on riding!

Very long story short 1. Fox Float DPS rear shock failure (very common for this shock BTW) 2. Crank Brothers rear hub failure

Ive laughably thought about a second izzo because i love my uncaged 7 build so much. Even the 120 / 120 has me having more fun then on the 140 / 130 build i had before.

Yeah I have an iso on order supposed to be here in June 18 I believe I'm kind of getting skeptical now. Last year I purchased a vitus sentier vrs. and the customer service was top-notch answered the phone every time I called answered all my questions annoying or not however two months later I find out that they're out of business I hope that's not the case with this company. Secondly if YT or yeti or any brands like that selling a bike with components from another manufacturer I think it would be up to them to take care of it if they're not gonna take care of it then don't put those components on the bike

This is a long shot, but any chance you work at the hospital at Laguna in SF and ride the trails there ? (Nevermind, later in the video you make it clear it’s not SF )
