I too have a scram 411, bought in July last year, and have covered around 20,000 kms.... all the issues that you've faced are extremely legitimate problems...to ease out the issues I would suggest you do a weekly maintenance of the bike instead of waiting for any issues to even pop up. Handlebar because of vibrations does get annoying and will recur every 10,000 kms, if you drive it rash, I would suggest you change the bearings to an NTR ones they are much better and will last you a little bit more than standard. For the chain issue, upgrading to a better and higher quality change with sprocket would suffice, normally in Himalayan and scram, the life is just about 18,000-20,000kms depending upon usage. Tyres are horrible from CEAT, since they're soft compound tyres, they're bound to provide good grip on tarmac, moderate on off roads at a cost of poor longevity, alternatively you can try out a slightly more expensive option like MRF meteor and Maxis maxplore tyres . Brakes provided by company are organic ones and are very low in quality, I would suggest upgrade to EBC or Vesrah they are much much better brakes, but even if your braking is biased on the rear brakes, these too will wear out quite fast.

Currently I am using LS2 Pioneer evo mx436 which costs around 9k. But there are orher good options in market, like; Axor X-Cross, if you are fan of motocross helmets. Axor has other good options.

SCRAM and Himalayan both are same when it comes to power, chesis and engine. But if you are someone who rides in the city and goes for off road sometimes, scram is better. When it comes to proper touring and offroading, Himalayan is better. I would say both the bikes are same and depends what are you riding them for.

Get the Rolon brass chain. It's quite and better. For tyre. The Maxplore is an upgrade. For brake pads. Get a sintered pads.

I would choose the Scram for its versatility on both on and off-road terrain, ease of handling in traffic, and comfort on highways. It's capable of handling a variety of riding conditions. Personally, I own both the Meteor and the Scram. They have similar fuel efficiency, although maintenance costs for the Scram might be slightly higher.

Sorry to trouble you again could you please tell which bike out of the two is comfortable while riding at 100 kmph & which bike is comfortable when both rider and pillion are sitting together? Actually I am planning to buy the motorcycle but confused between two models. Only a owner can give the perfect experience about the bike.

@@ruthlessmonster21 oh brother, it’s a tough one. Both the motorcycles are capable of providing a comfortable tide to pillions. If you ask me, I like scram, the only issue is the tube tyres. My pillion likes scram more than meteor.

Thank you ❤️ well, I recently got the chain kit changed and it costed around 3k. Brake pads cost around 450 for front and rear, clutch plate i will het it changed, cost is around 3.5k and per service coat goes around 2k including brake pads.

Brother you can relte here, maine zindagi ki sab se pehli bike fz chalayi, us se pehle kabhi cycle b nai chalaya. ussi p seekha and 2 months k baad scram 411 leli. Mujhe koi riding ka experience ya fir dhang se chalana b nai aata tha, but it’s been 2 years now, scram liye huey, i think k scram lena best decision tha mere liye, being a person jiski height 5.6 hai.

For a year now, I've relied on this bike for my daily commute from Delhi to Gurgaon. Its performance in traffic is impressive-the pickup is great, it maneuvers skillfully through heavy traffic, and it's easy to handle on the move.

Regarding Mechanical noise from engine, I haven't faced any issues. However, I have faced the chain problem, and got it changed after 20,000 kms, that's normal as the chain life is 15 to 20ks.

I have been riding this motorcycle since 1 and half year. Trust me this is a very nice motorcycle as compare to classic. The power, torque, ease in handling, ability to go anywhere, ability to go off and on road, is great. You can load lot of stuff and plus ride with a pillion, and you will no feel any less power.
