I have the same problem replaced it with a new duracell and a few days later it started to beep again like it was dead and wont open.

Can you show me what you mean by it tests good? Can you test both side by side see if there's a slight difference?

Ive already tossed the old battery. What I am saying is the old battery tested good with a battery tester. A lot of people would assume their was something wrong with the key pad based on testing.

@@GunsandGearNetwork yeah I realized that but was just wondering if you can tell the difference side by side on the tester. Like is the bad one still showing good but a lower level of good?

when i took battery out it removed one of the little female inserts on the safe for where the battery goes so now idk what to do…

There are people out there that didn't even try a battery first? Just replaced my battery and now it gives a long tone on every key and won't unlock.

Just started having same issue. Did you figure out any fix?

@pistolgrip500 I gave it 5 mins then it started working. Then 2 days later the same alarm that started all this came back and new batter won't fix it at all now.

@sbcmike2765 yea, it's like the thing is locking itself out. It just starts beeping, short beeps, then long beeps and the light turns yellow. I guess I'll try ordering a new key pad. The safe is only a year old maybe I should try winchester. 🤔

@sbcmike2765 found this on reddit. Currently working with no issue ATM. I got mine to stop beeping and for my code to work again, I didn’t think I’d be able to fix it after reading this thread 1. ⁠Take your battery out, put the key pad back on and leave the battery out for 24-48hrs 2. ⁠Replace the battery, count 10 seconds, take the battery out, replace key pad and hold 0 for 10 seconds 3. ⁠Remove key the keypad and re insert the battery, put the key pad back on, hit 123456 and wait 30 min 4. ⁠Type your code into the safe and it should work, worked for me. Hope this helps

I once sold a four wheeler to a lady off Craigslist she called me two weeks later and said it stopped running. I asked her if she put gas in it . She called me back and said that did the trick. Kind of similar this reminded me off that situation.

Yea, maybe sort of. The way the key pads acts you might would think the battery is fine but the key pad is bad. That's why I did the video if some people didnt think to try a new high end battery.

I have the same type of keypad it beeps when I put the battery in it doesn't beep or anything when I type my code. I can't get in my safe I have good batteries. I take the battery out and I let it sit for 10 minutes. I push down on the zero hold it for 10 seconds wait 5 seconds to type in the code and nothing. I get no beeps lights or anything only when I reinstall the battery

@rodneykojima5481 i may have to buy a keypad. the issue is I can't open my safe im completely locked out. I don't have an access key from Winchester. I may need to get a lock Smith to open it

My keypad is dead... and doesn't do anything. Stone cold dead even with a new battery. Doesn't beep, no lights, nothing.

@@clayed3311 that’s the buyers fault then lol. That’s like buying a car and complaining it’s got no wipers. If there’s other alternatives with it then you can’t be mad you cheaped out later lol
