Cool jet boat bro! Lots of potential there, but the main event is awesome! Can't wait to see it in the water 👍🏾👊🏾

I'm mostly into cars and trucks, but do enjoy fast and/or unique RCs of any type. I've never seen a 2 stroke RC boat before. Sounded pretty amazing whilst it was running. Hope you get it tuned and ready for summer! That boat does look really great, must have taken a TON of work to get it to its current state!

Thanks!! I’m trying to make some exciting boating videos, and this was my first attempt. It was a ton of work, but we learned a lot. I think I have the problem figured out so we can take it for a rip. I even have a race lined up. Haha.

Did you use the stock receiver? Since the stock one has only one throttle plug?

Eh, not what I'd be looking for out of a jet setup but still looks cool

I have a ProBoat RiverJet that is an absolute animal.

@@10thScaleGarage ya, that is more my idea of a jet boat . But I wont drop 800. Planning to just fab up a mini aluminum river boat hull and build one myself. There are decent scale plans online as well as just reducing measurements from an actual weldcraft hull. The Thrashers are awesome but should only be 300 in reality
@10thScaleGarage4 жыл бұрын
KpopRC built one with a 3D printer hull, and it rips. It was pretty reasonable.

Both boats are really cool boats. That second one though!!! Im not a nitro guy myself...but that thing looks nasty!!!

Its actually 2 stroke. 30cc Zenoah motor. They are much easier to keep running than Nitro (personally)

Nice vid! I do have the same boat as yours and I am planning to change the motors but I am having trouble removing the stock ones. Maybe anyone could give me a piece of advice?

What’s the problem?
@vejaskaminskas45603 жыл бұрын
@@10thScaleGarage There is no problem. I just don't know where to start from. The motor itself isn't held by any screws or whatsoever. I searched the web for some info but didn't found anything useful. So if it is possible could you just shortly explain the procedure of removing the motors, please?

I got the jet boat last year because I’m a fan of the 1:1 version. But I haven’t had a chance to run it yet. I was told it’s got a problem with water getting in because as sold, the shafts aren’t properly greased. So I’ll look into that. There’s a reverse bucket kit on shapeways originally intended for this thing’s sister ship the Alpha patrol boat that proboat makes. A PBR by another name. I don’t think it’s necessary tho the idea of reversing one jet and not the other to make it spin sounds fun. I don’t mind the slower speed tbh. I have somewhat unrealistic scale things in mind for the superstructure anyway. I was thinking of upgrading to brushless just for motor longevity tho. Should I? And if I do, would I need water cooling?
@10thScaleGarage4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I totally agree. Reverse seems a bit unnecessary. I haven’t seen any brushless conversions, yet. Honestly, these things make too many RPMs as it is. I fear that a brushless system would just cause the pumps to cavitate. I don’t water cool mine, but it gets crazy hot in there. I added some heat sinks to the motors, and I’m hoping that might help.

Errr, started out kinda UNDERwelming and went steadily DOWN hill! (just kidding - REALLY). Just not "into" rc boating however "Whatever floats yer boat".
