Great video once again. I was a nitro rc boater ,then a gas rc boater and I now have a couple of electric boats as well. I like the huge rpm capabilities of the electric motors. So overpowered but dashing and crashing is fun.

Love my SonicWake. It’s everything you want in an rc boat: fast , tough, and the self righting is a game changer. The price point is amazing for what you get. I am excited to see what you do with this one so I can copy you. Also I put several coats of white flex seal on the bottom of the canopy to stiffen it up. Also changed out the battery straps for something a bit shorter

Lol, yeah i think im gonna make a secondary ironclad cooling bracket for transom, the battery straps are super long, The foam helped with that. BUILD IT IRONCLAD

@@IRONCLADRC yeah I do t know what they were thinking on the battery strap length, I swapped in some straps from a 4s Arrma and they were perfect length. Also added some rubber to the bottom of each stringer in battery area

I have the black version - custom wrapped with Darkside Studios vinyl and equipped with all of OSE's upgrades including a Raider 150 ESC and Leopard 1950 KV motor. It's my favorite boat in my fleet. I've got mine past 65 mph and it still has more speed to claim. I think you're gonna dig this boat even more than your Blackjack 42! Enjoy! Now that you've hit the big time with a sponsor, you should think about having different formats for box openings and reviews so that they are different than your normal how too and lifestyle videos. I've worked in publishing most of my adult life and I think that you're ready to step it up my friend. If you want to grow your channel even more, you're going to have to throw some RC car content in there and possibly some drone action. I think you have the potential to draw in hundreds of thousands of subscribers, but I know that takes a huge commitment in time. Best wishes!

@@IRONCLADRC Yes, possibly have different formats for each type of video. For instance, choose a clean background without stuff in the background when you review a product. You don't want anything in the background that can distract from the product you are reviewing. Different thumbnails for different types of videos as well. But whatever you do it must be consistent from one video to the next. Also, take this video for instance. You could have milked it and made 4 separate videos - each under 10 minutes. One for the unboxing, a second video with the actual review and running video and a third and fourth and fifth could be follow up videos where you upgrade (Ironclad) the boat. I love RC boats more than RC cars, but the boat market is still considered a niche compared to RC cars that have a much wider appeal. You might be able to reach 10K subs with just boat content, but you can reach 10 times more people with RC cars. Truthfully, it is your boat content that drew me to your channel, but most people will appreciate a wider picture of the RC hobby. Hey these are only suggestions; you should do whatever feels right to you.

Either the firma 160 or the ose rader 150a. The 160 is 8s capable the 150 is 6s capable

yup make sure those batteries are secure, why? if the battery comes loose the boat will NOT flip back upright. Most namba clubs will not let you race a self righting boat, but some are coming around. nice video

I Never ran the impulse, but I can tell you this the impulse is better quality, you get what you pay for.

Possible, if the turn fin isn't in line with the keel and is set to deep into the water yes.. check your rudder, make sure it's straight up and down perfectly vertical

I’ve upgraded with OSE rudder and tried different props. My esc went out have new OSE esc but haven’t installed yet because hull has split, Please advise!!

On the seam we’re they join the top and bottom together. Slapped some Flexsteel tape on there for a couple of runs then stock ESC went out, purchased a new one from OSE 160A but haven’t installed yet, just moved a couple months ago and haven’t had a chance to change out yet, wanted to get hull fixed 1st. Have used 2 different props so far, 1 from OSE and a 4019 from Oxidean, have used 4519 yet. Also got trim tab adjusters from OSE the work great.

The seam split is a common issue with this boat from what I’ve seen on the inner web, there’s a lot of people on a ProBoat Sonicwake 36 group on FB.

@@IRONCLADRC This is a common problem with the Sonicwake (and to be fair it happens to many ABS boats where the hull and deck are joined with glue at the factory). During one of my boat outings, I noticed that my Sonicwake was taking in a lot of water after each run, which it never did before. I couldn't visually see where the water was entering until I a pored water directly into the hull and watched the water spill out from the seam on the side of the boat that is opposite to the flood chamber. It was a huge gaping split at least 12 inches down the side of the boat. I fixed mine with thick CA glue and then epoxy on the inside.

I just looked it up online. Wow yea I guess you guys are not the only ones with that problem? wonder if i/we could do some preventive "ironclading" before hand so it doesn't happen, try to catch it before the seem splits? 🤔 thanks for the heads up!
