The pros are on the money in this one re Crawford. One thing to add, avenesyan wasn’t just undefeated before bud KO’d him, he had never been knocked down 👀 and bud wasnt down on the judges cards during the Porter fight. For me Crawford is #1 p4p, but Madrimov is a monster, incredible strength and athleticism, immaculate footwork and has a terrifying gazelle hook that he disguises with an sidestep/feint 👀 I’m actually worried about this one for bud tbh, i hope he doesn’t take too much damage before he fights canelo

Crawford's layoff doesn't affect him at all he shows you that when he fought Earl Spence and that was the longest he been out the ring to date and he started early in the second round came out South Park got the second round knock down and he said it was downhill from that point so we've seen Crawford start early and then the previous fight will ever need you yeah he didn't start really early but by the third round he was touching Ebenezer up so I don't look for Crawford to start late like you normally does I disagree I give it about a round or two by the third round crop will be in his groove

People always want to rush certain fighters, Bud is moving to a new weight class, he’s fighting a good boxer but Bud has proven himself over and over again, I don’t have a problem with him fighting someone he should be favoured against in his move up. But calling someone a world champion in boxing is laughable at times when there are so many belts per division. Tszyu is the man in that division or Fundora is, regardless of belts. That’s where the focus should be, who’s the man. Same as with HW, AJ and Dubois fighting for a belt is goofy when we ALL know Usyk is the man

Crawford appears to be the most skilled boxer today. Yet, he is not a great fighter. Paulie cannot make that distinction. There are many skilled fighters like Crawford that never become great fighters for the simple reason like Crawford: they have never faced a real challenge or been part of any significant fights. Some knucklehead will say that he beat Spence. Unfortunately middle weight Spence abused his gimmick of losing water weight to fight smaller fighters and it caught up to him, by the time he fought Spence he looked like very sickly man. It was a healthy Crawford fighting a sick drained middleweight. Father time has caught up to Crawford, and he is absolutely not a great fighter. He would have to fight someone like Canelo and beat him to make that one fight a compelling reason to call him great.

Let me tell you why buddy: 2x 140-pound unified champion 2 division world champion 5 x world champion in total( never fought for a vacated title) Beat 15 top ten contenders 9 were rated in Ring magazine's top 10. Beat four undefeated #1 contenders Was in the p4p top ten for 8 straight years and was rated #3 on the list behind Mayweather and Manny. Beat two legends, Marquez and Manny 2013 fight of the year. I fought all the killers in my time none of this out-of-prime bullshit today. I won my first title on the road and was the 5th person in history to win a title in England. Today's fighters only talk about it I was all about action period. Joel Casamayor was the only cherry-pick as he was old and done after I became a champion.

All of what you say may sound impressive for the average “good fighter”, but it is not the resume of a “great fighter “, which, i think is the point. Being a unified titleist isn’t what it used to be , what with the proliferation titles (regular, super etc. ). It is not your fault that You came along when there was a lull in the quality of fighters in 140 division, and there is no doubt you got more out of your talent than the sum of their parts. You are mostly, dare I say it, famous for beating Manny in a fight that just about everybody thought you lost! This is boxing. Most of your fights were brutal affairs, implying that you weren’t so much better ,as the one who fought harder on the night. You are not an outlier in the way that Tank and Shakur are, even before they had fought anybody, and I think you know what I mean. I could go on to list the many good fighters who have a more accomplished resume , who after 20, 30 yrs. are still waiting for acknowledgment, but what’s the point? You and I know, you are not a blue-chip Boxer!
