Ryan you are genuinely one of the best teachers out here. The fact that you dedicate your time to random videos for people who might need them is amazing and I respect it so much

I love these tutorials, it's amazing how you can make materials like this, just with nodes. I'm hoping for a blood procedural material, well I don't know if KZbin would allow that XD.

And another great tutorial - thanks for your time and passion, Ryan! Soon you will reach the 100th material tutorial in the "Procedural Material Series"!! 🎉 Beside that i would like to see how you create procedural ceramic / porcelain material... p.s.: Have you ever thought about a bumper / intro for your show?
@RyanKingArt2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yep I've almost reached 100 materials! 👍 No, I'm not a big fan of Intros. I think there a waist of time. People see them over and over again in every video, and I think they just skip over them. And I don't really like it when other KZbinrs make intro's. I think its best just to get straight into the content.

I just noticed, this new version of Blender, nullified the way you showed us for baking the emission layers. Really nice texture again, as always! Thanks!
@RyanKingArt2 жыл бұрын
what do you mean exactly? What's different in the new version? My emission tutorial still works in the latest version, of 3.3. actually I filmed the emission baking tutorial in version 3.3
@TheDevian2 жыл бұрын
@@RyanKingArt What I was saying was that when you use the node wrangler, and ctrl+shift click, it used to add that emit node to use as the previewer, now it connects directly to the material output, so I was assuming that might change something.
@RyanKingArt2 жыл бұрын
@@TheDevian Ahh Yes, your right that you can't see the viewer node anymore. But it still acts exactly the same. You can still texture bake materials using the same method. I tried it out myself to make sure. 👍

@@RyanKingArt Cool, I just noticed that during the video, but I haven't had time to test it.

Can't wait for your next material. Some parts starting to be more complicated with Displacement but still easy to follow. Not sure if you have plan for some fabric like silk/Scotch or some structural like Stone wall or Roof? It would be great if you tried some. I can't figure it out how to do that. :)

Man i want to ask you something outside of this content if you don't mind. Somehow i feel a difference on the render cycle result between 2.8(my prev version) and 3.0(my latest update). I just feel that it's more photorealistic on 2.8. On 3.0 when it's definitely faster, it's more like an ultra-realistic game graphic. I don't know if it just my eyes or i did the wrong setting. Thanks for your opinion and probably if you don't mind please make a content about how to do photorealistic result on cycle x too 😁. But thankyu anyway
@RyanKingArt2 жыл бұрын
hmm, well the Blender developers are always doing little improvements to the cycles rendering engine, to try to make it better.

Instead of using an Ico-Sphere, it wouldn't be better to subdivide a cube using the default algorithm (Catmull-Clark) and then using the Cast Modifier to scale it to a sphere? I see a lot of Blender youtubers doing that and I think it looks better than UV-Sphere and Ico-Sphere.
@RyanKingArt Жыл бұрын
Hmm never tried that before. I suppose that would work fine.
