Beginner tutorial on procedural textures in Blender. Procedurally generate stylized stone walls using Blender's shader nodes. Quick render using the Eevee render engine for high quality textures. To learn more about procedurally generated textures, I also recommend watching my other videos.
This short tutorial uses shader nodes to create a procedurally generated cobblestone texture that is perfect for abstract and fantasy environments and designs. This straight to the point tutorial shows every step of the shader creation, with information helpful for both beginners and advanced shader artists and 3D modelers. It demonstrates the use of many of Blender's shader nodes, including: texture coordinate, voronoi texture, math, bump and map range nodes.

Thanks. Very useful and well explained. I tried to use the curve modifier, to force the pathway to follow a curve - in this case, "Generated" instead of "Object", in Texture Coordinate node, worked better.

Thanks for this useful tutorial. I could not manage the bump node with the normal connection, but with height connection to get the same result as yours. But now how can I extract the texture to use it as displacement texture map ? Thanks.

Thanks for the tutorial, it looks just how I needed. Is there a way to make it so there are stones randomly missing?, like random patches of dirt?.

i thought i could do it.. was in the right track.. Voronoi.. but then i could nt get it.. After watching you video i'm glad you did .. it was exactly what i was looking for for my low poly floor i'm doing for fun. That was definitely tough.. dont think i could have done that calculation myself. Lol.. you should have more subscribers

Ok. Works but I had to add a mapping node right after texture coordinate node to get more cells/rocks . :O)

Hi Sina. I don't know if you read comments on old videos 🙃 but I have a question. I just watched your other video with Cell Fracture. Is there a way to combine the two? The procedural textures and the cell fracture so the bridge falls apart into those pebbles? I am a Blender noob so everything looks complicated to me. 🤣

I think I understand what you mean. But unfortunately, I don't think what you want is possible. I'll keep the idea in mind though, I might come up with something in the future.

@@sinasinaie YEY! 😃 But, can you just add the procedural texture to the bridge thingy and make it fall apart as it did but with textured pieces? You know, like an easier version of my original question?

great tutorial, it didn't work for me tho. I get random, big lines instead of the voronoi texture :(

If you give some details, perhaps we can trouble shoot things. At which point of the video do thing stop working on your side?
