Process Documentation Using Notion - Template Included

@j3sp15 You're welcome. I'm glad you like the video. OneNote can certainly do this as well and I do use it for note-taking and short writing, but I love the Wiki meets Database aspect of Notion for creating online documentation and for managing tasks.

Thanks for the video! How do you actually use those checklists? Or do you just keep them as a reference there? I mean, if I have to complete a particular checklist every week, how do I check off the items without using the template itself? I'm trying to figure out how to actually execute the process using the checklist . Thanks!

@@lauratato503 Hi Laura, the answer is, it depends. For my video content checklist here kzbin.info/www/bejne/m3-znoKuoJVmaac I use the actual table and check each column when done. For other checklists, it would make more sense to copy them for each task you are using and then check off the copy.

What about the "Roadmap" template for business process documentation for employees. I do this for everything i.e. replacing toilet paper in bathrooms . everyone is accountable, no excuses!

Thanks Camilo. I don't even remember mentioning Google Alerts in this video. :) I do use Google Alerts to monitor mention of my brands and also topics I need to follow closely. It is a great tool.

I was hoping to see how you manage the recurring nature of these. Every time you have a new hire for example, do you copy the checklist? Can checklists be made into templates? Looking to move from trello which handles this well with templates and I wonder if I can do the same thing with notion.

Hello Sophia, I work extensively with templates in all my tools. With Notion, there are two ways I work with templates. First, I create a category/view called templates and then create all new tasks there and save them. Then I copy them when it is time to use them. Another way is to lay out the process with check boxes or status choices and then have the tasks follow the process.
