I used to work with this fella about 40 years ago at a pigment plant in (Australind), Bunbury in Western Australia. He nicknamed me 'Bathers' as I used to get both of us wet hosing down the 'Moore Filters'. This was before he got famous. He used to play the pubs then to small audiences. He was a very likable and charismatic person and was an excellent guitar player even back then.

this guy is probably the most normal, well adjusted STELLAR guitar slinger ever. I would like to see him and Keef get together with guitars plugged in and chat about the biz and reminisce while they played about on the fret boards. I wonder if he'd like a Dumble.

Since Dave does a number of original songs, probably more than your average blues man whose repertoire might largely consist of covers of classic blues songs, it would have been interesting to ask him about his writing process, how and when he first started writing his own material and whether it comes easily or whether he really has to work at it, and where he gets his ideas and inspiration from in that regards. It would have also been interesting to know if he plays much acoustic guitar or feels that he should play more of it. I've got just four or five of his albums and there's only a couple of acoustic guitar tunes.

I didn't know that Dave studied physics in University. I bet he and Brian May of Queen would or could have quite a chat!
