One random night went to a local neighborhood bar in Taylor MI that holds about 40 people and Dave Hole just happened to be playing.. Never heard of him before, paid the $20 cover and somehow got front row seats. So good I wanted to weep ! Got to talk to him and the band after the show for a min. Down to earth nice guy ! Made a fan for life ! Wish I could see him play again !

Shame Australian radio doesn't get behind such good performers. This man is as good as anything they have over them there hills. I've never heard of him till now. Thank God for KZbin. Screw the Australian music industry, mofo's. The best blues slide ever, in the world. Master blaster.

I remember him from JJJ back in the seventies when they played decent music. I'm catching up on this extraordinarily talented man some 45 years later. It's a damn shame that we don't recognize actual talent a lot of times both here in Oz and in other countries. The focus on puerile pop is overwhelming these days both on radio and the general media. A tap dancing pig that farts in time with the music has more talent than much of what is trending today.

TCB Dave Hall said in an interview that before he learned to play slide he had broken his hand or some fingers in an Aussie Rules Football accident, and since he couldn't use his wrapped up hand to fret with, he had a finger sticking out that he could fit a slide on and so he started learning to play over handed slide that way.
