This is just mad exceptional! I had Procreate for ages, but barely had time to learn how to use it. Already, this video makes me wanna follow along because this all looks simple to follow and do, and it's also so very well-explained and demonstrated. I doubt this will take me 15 minutes to do in one sitting, but I surely can fit this into my schedule this week and do it over a number of days. Well done, Procreate team; thanks so much for this!

I got my first iPad today and going to get Procreate later today. I am going in expecting my work to look garbage as a lot of the artists I see on IG typically have all their own custom brushes and stuff made. I will be happy if I can even draw a basic anime character TBH.

very important: if you leave the canvas and go into your gallery, by the time you return, you can‘t undo anything you did in the last session. so there‘s no complete history of the changes saved into the file like in photoshop for example. very annoying, especially when it takes a long time to get used to this. so maybe create backup versions of your file from time to time.

I wanted an iPad to be able to use procreate for so long and my husband gifted me with one for my birthday. Really love this Procreate tutorial series! A suggestion regarding part one-- when I tried it, I repeatedly got a rectangle appearing on the screen that was hard to get rid of. I eventually discovered that it was the zoom box that appears when Settings/Accessibility/Zoom is enabled and you tap twice with three fingers. Maybe at the start, the course should go over various settings that might interfere with Procreate.

I just bought an iPad yesterday, specifically to get Procreate, after wanting it for a couple years now. I'm crying at how much is possible and how wonderful this tutorial is for someone new to digital drawing by hand. I have very shakey limbs and the ease of undoing is such a relief, as I'm sure I'll be undoing a lot. Thank you, there is so much to learn and we need it in bite size pieces which build on each other. You have done a great job. Some years ago when David Hockney did his iPad paintings he used the “Brushes” App, which I found fairly simple and easy to use. Then it seemed to fade out of existence. Procreate notched it up but so many aspects were a mystery to me. Thank you for this series. I will do my best to follow along.

Thanks for the easy to follow instruction - the instructions were clear, concise and to the point. I downloaded Procreate onto my iPad last week and am only just beginning to explore it but this definitely makes me want to explore more. I did as best I could with it but have discovered that (unbelievably!) my index finger is not as sensitive as a digital pencil! My iPad is about five or six generations old so this may be the perfect excuse to indulge in an upgrade
