I was so excited for Dreams, but it seems we constantly have to import rigs and assets from original procreate because the drawing tools in dreams arent up to par with the original. its so frustrating because i want everything to be in the same place.

I agree! I understand that to sell both products they need to separate some features, but it's missing the basics needs for an animation software. I do think in time it will get better though.

@@Voixsu The price of Dreams ($19.9) is twice that of Procreate ($9.9) initially, and it might increase in the future. I think considering Dreams as an upgraded version of Procreate is reasonable. They can retain some features in Procreate, such as gradient filters, but many fundamental drawing functions need to be added to Dreams.I don't want to switch between two software frequently.That would disrupt my arrangement and contemplation of an animation.

@@redzao4646 That's a fair point, I started using Procreate late so I didn't know it was only $9.99, that's an amazing deal lol! I'm excited to see how good Dreams will become, since it seems like Procreate has come a long way from its debut.

Yeah but remember it’s new so there will be updates which will probably fix things that are not desirable about the app.

They said they’re planning on adding sooo many stuff As someone who used procreate since 2013 It wasn’t already with many features in release or first year we have now and love to use so be patient 🥺

I love this! I've been trying to see if Procreate Dreams would be useful for animating my illustrations on ipad, and it seems that it has the potential to do so :) I'm still thinking of buying it as I don't know if a software for PC would be better

Thanks for commenting! I think it depends on the kind of animations you make, it's pretty simple to use like procreate, but for artist who draw frame by frame it's not quite there yet.

I have been trying to figure out this way of animating for a loooooong time lmao And have been wanting to use Procrate dream since it came out but have been a bit intimidated. This helps alot but the video is a bit fast. In the beginning do you import the file? Or do you just click and drag the file from procrate? And i assume if i want specific things to move I would do the layer seprate? Or cut it from the still image itself? I may have more questions as I watch which i'll add to this below if I do. Thank you so much for this video!

No problem, glad I could help! Yes, if you open procreate and dreams side by side you can just drag the layers from procreate into procreate dreams. You can even group them together in procreate before dragging them. Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions :)

So! Are you have both apps open. -- Did i see: you built animation assisted procreate nested layers (a group of layers), then dragged them over to drop on a track in dreams? Then what? Okay i'll keep watching until i understand. Thanks for shared.

Yes, If you group them in Procreate they show up as groups in dreams. No problem, thanks for the comment! :)

TIP: you can drag the canvas as a whole, and all the layers. can be viewed separately!
