Procreate Duplicate Quick Shape Trick

A trick to duplicate a quick shape found by Procreate forum user Alfricke folio.procreate.art/alfricke. Not working anymore in 5.2

During beta, I asked Savage to reanimate it. So they didn’t? A pity. Infinite Painter is brilliant with it’s stamp tool, but does not move a complete quickshape. The stamp tool is also available in transformations though. Stamp copies active float onto active layer but keeps transform etc.active.

@@knaselbert I actually found another way to duplicate with the little s shape tool and when you swipe down with 3 fingers it says copy paste or duplicate !! Thank you so much for the info

@@universelove6163 Ahh, cool at least something! Thank you. The old version was nice as duplicate was still a quickshape you could edit, but this way is quick as well ;)

It’s not working anymore since 5.2. I am sorry. But yes, narration should be included. I did those things super quick to share with those interested, not having a tutorial channel in mind. Maybe in future.

It does! Just checked it right now. 1. Activate modify button (tiny square between brush sizes and intensity) for quick shape in gesture controls. 2. Draw something and hold till quick shape evokes. 3. Press on “edit shape” at top. 4. Tap anywhere to close “edit shape”. 5. Press tap “modify button”. 6. Press “edit shape” again. 7. Move your duplicate. 8. Press anywhere to close “edit shape” 9. for another duplicate press tap button again. Done! Be aware that this is more or less a bug, not a real function. As soon as you leave on step of above, it won’t work. Happy duplicating.

@@amarijae oh sorry- this work around was killed with last update. It was more a lucky accident, then a feature. I guess Savage cleaned up something and now this do not work anymore. Very sad. Forgot to update here. Infinite Painter has an awesome stamp feature, where you can move & stamp as long as you want. I guess it’s no help? I’ll delete this video soon. Sorry again.
