When I am printing images, especially sketches for paintings I do something very similar. Copy each section of 8 x 10.5 with an overlap of about a half inch in the image. Then I open up another procreate page 8.5 x 11 standard paper and paste these sections in at 8 x 10.5 which gives me a margin. I use the grid set up to 1 inch both places, sometimes I put marks on the design itself to help.... then I paste each section that way there is an overlap in the artwork and I use a light table to line everything up perfectly. I especially do this when I'm doing large scale lifework for tattooing. the other cool biproduct of having 8.5 x 11 segments is that it runs through my thermofax smoothly in chunks as well. I'd rather have an overlap even working with a stencil and tape. makes lining things up much easier

This is exactly what I’m trying to figure out how to do, but I can’t find a tutorial for it anywhere.
@fetuspetus2 жыл бұрын
@@funyunbreath if you have photo shop you can use the selection tool at a precise 8.5 x 11 as well. Way more smooth . Easier to overlap as well

Will you possibly make a video that shows everything you’re doing? I’ve watched multiple videos and read countless Reddit threads and I’m missing something. I do best by just watching but your video cuts out most of the stuff I actually need to see

How did you select multiple layers at the end? On my iPad I can only select one layer at at time or I just don’t know how to
@Cyber_Trash_2 жыл бұрын
Click on your layers tab and slide from left to right on each layer you want to select it should change colors to show it is selected

Start with your main image, duplicate it turn that extra ones layer off, now for the other one use your selection tool to crop it from the center and repeat it so you have 4 new layers each 1/4 of the original. Next drag each layer to the middle of your screen. Select all 4 layers and stretch them to the full page. Now print each of the 4 layers and they will all line up to make a bigger image.

Other than my canvas size (8.5 x 11) the only thing I think I used for this was the grid in procreate using 1 inch squares. Everything can be adjusted to what you are needing this was just an example on the technique

Take your image, make it a full page (8.5x11) Use your selection tool crop your main layer into 1/4 (top left to center) select your main layer again crop the top right (repeat for the other two parts of your main layer. Next center your 4 new layers, swipe each layer to select them next resize them to the full page. Next print each layer separate and you now have one large image
