I’m happy you got back around to Melodics. I started my subscription back up last month and I do about 15-30 minutes a day on those warmups and exercises a day for muscle memory strength and prevent burn out from repetition before jumping into a starting a new project. It definitely helps with creator’s block when inserting this in before a session. Can’t wait to hear about your progress in the next episode 🎹👏🏾👏🏾🎉

One thing that helped me learn is the komplete kontrol midi keyboard. The keyboard will light up the scales so you can practice playing all the notes on the scale. Eventually you can turn the lights off and your fingers will be used to what you played

So one thing about your arms being arched like that is it will strain your wrists. My coworker used to practice like that on a desk and he’s on the verge of carpal tunnel. You shouldn’t be straining while practicing.

I really do like the concept of melodics. I just hate the subscription model. If they allowed me to buy the program outright with a full set of basic courses. And then charged a small fee for every legit song they have courses for. I would jump on it.

Yeah I understand. We all hate subscriptions but imo this one is worth it. Especially if you compare it to hiring an actual teacher. And it’s much better than buying a course
