Great episode, as usual! I like seeing new faces. I was very impressed with Christopher and the amount hook he got with his ball. It seemed to be a control shot. I usually end up rooting for the home team, and like to see the Bowlero Roswell kids win. This is *NOT* a spoiler. It's a statement of fact, and nothing should be inferred from its content.

I’ve said this once and I’ll say it again, Hunter is just too good to be in the littles league! He has some real skill and should probably be bumped up to the scratch league! Love the vids randy!

Huey - Hunter has requested that he move up to our Roswell Varsity league this Fall. He’d be about a year ahead of schedule in doing so, but it would not be unprecedented. Christian did the same thing.

Great episode, and a great format.

I love this format. The first time I ever saw it was on a "CBS Sports Spectacular" broadcast back in the mid 1960s where the team of Dick Weber and Bob Strampe bowled against the team of Glenn ("Mr. 900") Allison and Carmen Salvino The voices you hear on the broadcast are the legendary baseball announcer Pee Wee Reese and bowling legend Billy Welu. kzbin.info/www/bejne/h5mkgKWAabBslZI Then, as I mentioned in the opening of today's show, this same Best Ball Doubles format was used on a 1960s/'70s TV series called "Celebrity Bowling," which was hosted by Jed Allen. Mr. Allen just recently passed away, so RIP, Jed Allen. He was one of very few Hollywood figures who was enough of a bowling enthusiast to put bowling front and center in the entertainment world. Here's one episode of Celebrity Bowling. There are many more on KZbin. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iWamn4iJq9qibtk

Fantastic production again as usual. I've never seen this best ball format before but it's highly entertaining. Lots of intricacies involved with it and it's interesting to see the strategies the kids develop to proceed with the best course of action. Hopefully there's more of these in the future.

Thanks for an excellent episode! Christopher appears to have a very strong "lane presence" (for lack of a better term). That is pretty rare for someone that young.

A longer approach might help generate more ball speed and tame that hook a little bit.

I'm sure you've mentioned it to him, but Christian would probably do well to get the ball closer to his ankle at release, like Tristin
@ProdigyBowlersTour5 жыл бұрын
I've included it in a Coach's Clicker on this show before. And I've talked to him about it about a hundred times. We were at the bowl again today, and not only did I mention it, but the guy in the pro shop, who is a highly skilled player himself, mentioned it, too. He also echoed something else that I've been preaching to Christian for years about his hoisting the ball to the top of the swing (rather than just letting his arm swing from the shoulder socket, not "lifting it" to the top of the swing) and just letting it drop from the top. I keep hoping that if Christian hears this stuff from enough people he trusts, he might actually believe that the fat, old guy actually knows what he's talking about. ............. Nahhh....that ain't gonna happen.
@lukes41105 жыл бұрын
@@ProdigyBowlersTour true, and just saying, I meant Tristin could work on that too, not that Christian should strive to do what Tristin does, in case there was any confusion

Randy, did I hear rightly in the broadcast that you're going to host a tournament with scholarship prize money? If so, some fans might like to contribute to the prize fund. Is there a way to do so?
@ProdigyBowlersTour5 жыл бұрын
There is not. The money comes from the two leagues' prize funds. We use part of it to fund awards (trophies, plaques for team achievements and individual achievements like high game, high series, high average, etc.) and the rest goes too the scholarship money paid out in the season-ending tournament. (A little bit goes to the pizza party at the end, too.)

@irishpogi5 жыл бұрын
Would you have enough "littles" to feature in your future video?
@ProdigyBowlersTour5 жыл бұрын
irishpogi - Well, we’ll see. If we set out to do a Littles Only event, I hope we attract a few. The thinking behind this one goes something like this: It began as a way to accommodate the wishes of a mother in San Francisco who wanted to bring her 7-year-old son to Atlanta to bowl PRODIGY. She didn't realize at the time that our season would be over by the time her planned travel date came. But it got me to thinking, she wanted to bring him in July 20th, which is the final weekend of Junior Gold. I figured most junior bowlers U12 and older would be in Detroit (or would hope they're still in Detroit) for JG. But that the little kids too young to be competitive in Junior Gold and their parents might find it a perfect weekend to come bowl PRODIGY, since all the older ones would be gone. Will it work? Who knows. But I'm putting the word out there, and I guess we'll see. I've wanted to do a Littles Only PRODIGY episode for two years and it just hasn't happened. But I've never thrown the promotional weight behind it that I could. So I guess we'll find out.
