for ppl with a wallpaper that has dark colors and makes it hard to see the apps that is open, simply open settings and search dark mode and enable. now your taskbar is still clear, however the line under opened apps is now light grey (or gray idfk)

the side efect from animated wallpapers are that it makes ur fps lower in games. So i recommend not-animated wallpapers (if u want to have fps boost in games)

What I do with the programs and apps I use is I put the most needed ones down on the task var. I keep my internet broswer and trash on the desktop. The rest of the programs I put on the start menu and I change their size to being small. That makes the start menu so much more organized and you can easily access the programs you don't use as often but don't want on the desktop or task bar. I don't even have to hide the programs on my desktop because of that. I keep my apps on the task bar in the center, but I don't make them small because I want to see them clearly plus I personally I don't like the look of them being tiny as in the video.

If you want short cuts on your desktop hold alt and press 255 on your num pad and it will make an invisible character furthermore you can download a program like gimp and make your own custom icons

I have another tip for a clean desktop: Don't share your computer with your boyfriend whose desktop "organizational method" is pure unbridled chaos. He plops anything from word docs to downloads to every program ever onto the screen and doesn't even sort it by category 😫 I'm a minimalist when it comes to how my desktop looks (and I really appreciated the tips in this video, I can't wait to use some of these). His cousin even asked me how I could put up with the mess of icons after he did some work on my computer. Looking back I should've had a separate log in for my partner, but I didn't think of that at the time

You can have the wallpapers paused when you have a different window/application up. I have a dual monitor setup, with 1 screen usually on desktop and the other as my main gaming monitor. I don’t really see any fps drop, if at all, probs 2-3fps decrease
