I have found over recent years that some companies charge a bit more but you are not paying for updates. However I appreciate plugins like this are really cool. One can't help but notice how the main KZbinrs ares pushing this all on the same day. IK are good with marketing.

A not so secret here too. Trick; "IK's one" on the master two. Been doing it since the first version came out. Master 2 trick for those not sure = instrument busses routed to single track and side-chained to the vocal buss for ducking purposes. These days, my master 2 will have IK One adding some extra width, transient definition and bass pump along with light compression altogether. One is followed by a de-resonance plug set to side chain for pulling down instruments to make room for vox with hi/lo bandpass targeting only the vox mids. For me that doesn't mean soothe. It means TB pro audio's "dseq3". IK tape 24 "finish 15" on master 1 followed by a limiter. Keeping the vox away from a lot of instrument processing on the main master keeps it a bit cleaner and standing separate. At least, that's my current theory, lol. Hope that made sense. Cheers. 👍

Love T-Racks stuff, since way back when it was an all in one app. Speaking of Peavey, I was at a gig once and had someone whom I really respected ask me about my tone and what amp I was using (I had taken it out of the housing and put it in a homemade rack) - it was a Renown! Had zillions of nobs on it and while it wasn't expensive or say Marshall on it, it was pretty cool!

This is a killer plugin! Pretty sure the left side are just EQ, right side bass punch is some kind of compression, and analog is essentially 'color', left knob is compression, right knob pushes into the 0dB limiter. And yeah, even at minimum it makes things louder. My sole real complaint about the IK T-Racks Max 5 v2 suite, is they all add about 2.5dB at nominal. They really should take a page from Brainworx on the universal frames with stuff like input/output level, trim, etc. That said, they're all super nice. Try slapping the One on a vocal or vocal bus for instant studio polish with zero effort. I mean, super tempting one stop vocal processor just try it.

There is something to say about having a wonderful track in the first place to master which just bounces along so nicely. I like to use a limited number of plugins which add something organic back into the track and removes that digital feel from it. I like stacking compressors until a natural thickness happens (glue) and removing harsh frequencies, getting all the bits of the track in the right place so that that there is a dimensionality to the sound in all directions. Brilliant session again 😃

@@Producelikeapro thanks for the demo of the mastering plugins. I didn't realise that the IK mastering suite had an extensive array of sound and frequency analysing tools very much like Paz plugin built-in. I think if you don't have those tools, the IK plugin covers it all. Great value for sure.

By my ears, the bass punch is just a hihpass filter of what comes in and triggers the compression. The focus is just a 3db boost of a frequency betweek 800 to about 3k to p7ch the signal and then trigger the compressor by the boost. But I am not a professional, so I may be wrong.....

Will my license/installation of T-Racks 5 Max be affected at all by this release? I had just bought 5 and am concerned. Also, would the new upgrade be worth it at all?
@Todzuum
@Todzuum 2 ай бұрын
It comes with 8 new plugins and an updated GUI , the upgrade from 5 is decent price, but if you don’t want to upgrade your all good I’ve seen no problems staying at 5.

Honestly i just want the sound from t-racks 2.4 standalone in my daw. I have been searching for it for years. Im about 99.9 percent sure it was the multiband unit in there that done it, i use "the one" now, its good but its just not the same

The Mastering Processor is still 1 to 2 dB louder than the raw sound even at zero gain. Even half a dB will fool your ears into thinking there is more punch and presence.
