What are some mics you would love to hear the history about on this channel? Whilst a fascinating historical collection of rare and vintage gear, Mike & Producer Like A Pro supports the ongoing humanitarian efforts of UNICEF to help displaced families and children. Please Donate To Children: bit.ly/3E3UDsm
I would love to see some comparisons between high end mics and the Tbone alternatives (tbone is the thomann own brand)

What an awesome way to begin this endeavor and history. Seeing as to how mics and the usage of mics were interpreted back then is such a marvelous thing to look at. Shows just how ahead of the times we were getting!

Sick mic collection. I was hoping to see some obscure Japanese TOA RD-16 mics. Super versatile. Sound great on guitar, bass, kick, and toms. Love seeing the lomo and oktava mics. The mid-side mics sound great too. The nice thing is they maintain in mono as well as stereo, and given how many people listen on phones or Bluetooth speakers, that makes it super useful.

Love this, and this is jaw dropping. I built up my mic collection at first in garage sales in the 80's when I scraped together to get a good 4 track. I still use my AKG D190e (on snare, super close miking near shell) and EV re10 all the time (they were in a box of mics for 3 bucks. Still, this is in a very different league, jaw dropping. I have to try my dad's old 3M B-162 20 Wollensak mics probabky crappy but... they look like star trek communicators.
