I love where immersive audio is going - and the amount of investment producers and studios are putting in... it's definitely something we should all be looking towards. PMCs are incredible speakers too!

The analog hardware to my ears and many others always eclipses dsp software that just cant replicate the mojo. UAD, WAVES as examples.

I do Atmos Mixing with an entire PMC setup as well in NY, the studio isnt open to the public. But every room in this place is PMC heaven. Hearing Sublime or The Temptations in an Atmos studio is unreal..

Great video. Love the mix of immersive rooms you are doing. And I think as much as I love Atmos it is not the only game out there. He is working on so many things . In so many formats. I am assuming because it is something I am working through. Having to switch to The writing monitoring system he is talking about is probably because of the latency involved in atmos etc mixing. It is really hard to put anything down for me at 512. And it is a big deal Apple,Sony and Dolby all sound different. And do binaural different. The line about there are no stereo sources in nature is also a very important thing. The more you get away from stereo sources the better it sounds . That is for me everyone is different and that is what makes this so much fun. Thanks again to the both of you.

I’ve been mixing 2 channel with simular Sony headphones for 3 years now while I build my 4th studio in life. The wh xm2’s is what I use. I Tryed the xm3’s and xm4’s but the lower mids were muddy no matter how much I eq’ them. The xm2’s do the Sony 360 as well. With some slight subtractive eq and low end boast so signal is near flat to ear. I’ve actually had the best mixes of my life. lol. I couldn’t mix with the xm3’s or xm4’s.
