This song was not one of the last things they released before entering the military. It was supposed to be, but the pandemic threw a wrench into their plans. For a little bit of a timeline of what happened after this: This song was on the album 'Map of the Soul: 7', which was released in February 2020, basically right before the pandemic. They then went on to release the album 'BE' in November 2020, then 2 more English singles, 'Butter' and 'Permission to Dance', plus a collab with Coldplay (My Universe) in 2021. Then they released a 3-cd Anthology Album, Proof, in June 2022 and announced the start of the journey of their solo music. J-Hope released his album, 'Jack in the Box' in July 2022, then Jin released a solo single called 'The Astronaut' in October before finally being the first of the members to enter his military service in December 2022 (he comes back June 2024, right before the group's 11th anniversary). RM released his solo album, Indigo, in December 2022. Then in March 2023 was Jimin's solo album, Face. J-Hope was the second member to enter the military in April of 2023, with his return scheduled for October 2024. Suga released his solo album, D-Day, also in April, before leaving on a 3 month solo world tour of 28 shows. For the group's 10th anniversary in June 2023, the group song, called 'Take Two' was finally released, having been recorded before Jin and Hobi left, but was held in reserve until their anniversary. This was the official "last" group song they released. Jungkook released his debut single, 'Seven', in July 2023. Suga then left for his alternative service in September. His service is longer than the other, and he is expected to return in June of 2025. V's solo album, 'Layover', was released in September, as well. Then Jungkook finally released his full album, Golden, in November. December 11th 2023, both V and RM entered their military service. December 12th 2023, Jimin and Jungkook were the last to enter their service. V, RM, Jimin, and JK, are all expected back in June of 2025, a few weeks before Suga. So, this was certainly not the last we heard from them. Nor will it be the last we hear from them while they are gone. All of the members have mentioned that they pre-recorded a bunch of material (we don't know exactly what) to keep us occupied, which their label will release to us at the proper time. I'm personally looking forward to the surprises. Even just the list of things I know they've recorded, that they've teased us about, make me super excited. And I know there's even more. The animals were real, not CGI. RM confirmed this in a twitter post and I think it’s also shown in the behind the scenes. Whenever they can use practical effects, they do. Nobody does it like BTS! Borahae 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Yes they were real but also they were filmed separate, like every animal god time on set and then it all was put together, and RM on set was only with one safe pair of animals, something like that and he had photo with them.

The background vocals or adlibs or harmonising /vocal guides etc are mostly jungkook as he is the main vocalist (the backbone) in bts's discography but ofc the other 3 singers have their moments too Bts really does give you quality layers of vocals the production on every song is amazing 👏

This song is from early 2020 "Map of the Soul 7" album, that come out literally before pandemic, so they couldn't promote itlike they would normaly. Then at the end of 2020 we also got "BE" album, it was pandemic album. It was more personal album. Then from summer 2020 to spring 2021 they put out 3 english singles Dynamite, Butter and Permission to dance, that were made for all the fans around the world (so english) to give hope and joy in pandemic. Then also collab with Coldplay come out "My universe". And at summer of 2021 they put out antology album "Proof" that had 3cd. First one has theirs most popular singles, on second cd are songs that members choose bc of resons they only know (every one choose two songs), and last cd has demos or prototyps of songs... On this album we got 3 totally new songs "Yet to come", "Run BTS" and "For Youth" . So last song thet they made and promoted together (live performance) were from 2021. They december of 2021 first member go to military Jin. Then thru 2022 they all relese solo stuff. And also there were song "The planet" that was with all members, it was OST to some cartoon. And "Take two" come out in june 2022, as gift for fans, bc they always give us some gifts on "birthday" date, there is like month of celebation, it starts with band debute date to fandom birthday date, it is almost all june and littoe july. So yeah "Take two" is last song they give us together but performance was prerecorded. But we were so happy to get new music from full band. So after this song "ON" there were actually a lot of music that come out with all members. I don't know if it helped or only made more chaotic all this.

Y la coreografía es una de las favoritas de Army también! Abrieron con esta canción los conciertos durante su gira “Wings” en el 2017 y te pone la piel de gallina ver el esfuerzo físico y vocal, es de verdad increíble y tan cool! The last album produced before Jin went to military is not MOTS7 (that has this song). There were BE and Proof after this.

In your reaction to Fake love you wondered about bts lyricism, i would suggest reacting to their album "BE" which was born amidst the pandemic in late 2020, it has 8 tracks and aside from easy to listen to Dynamite and a spoken skit 6 tracks of the album are probably among the best bts work !

Bookish Theories did a great explanation for the ON MV if you're interested but what I can say is that it's a part of BTS's ongoing fictional storyline (if you're in doubt, the storyline videos are marked "BU content" in the description). It's actually a very dark story with a lot of real social issues mixed with mental health, psychology and supernatural elements. It's extremely comprehensive with a ton of MVs, short films, note books, a webtoon and even a mobile game. XCeleste has made a great summary of the Bangtan Universe aka the BU aka the storyline and that alone is around an hour but it's well worth watching because it brings a whole new layer of artistry to their videos. I can honestly say that I've never seen such a mindblowingly complex story before! 🤯 It's currently being made into a K-drama series but sadly not with the members in the roles. 💜

In the music video for this song, there are many details. Most of which has to do with the Bible. For example, the scene with the boat and animals is based on Noah's Ark. and what was holding Jungkook's wrists It looks like a thorn. It is like the crown of thorns that was placed on Jesus' head. It has many more symbols like an unhappy child holding a drum, which is a musical instrument for entertainment. and the girl who was blindfolded from seeing the truth
