BTS has 300 songs to date , they write, produce, compose their own music with the help of their in house producers. And some members produce /compose /write for other artists too. They are their own genre. We as BTS army never put them in 1 particular category..Because they always surprise us ,when we think they will stay with this genre, our guess will always wrong. For all the reaction I've ever seen ,this is my first time i didnt hear the word KPOP from the reactor..You earned a brownie point there..LOL..

It's impressive that only 1 member is fluent in English. They challenge themselves as artists to be able to reach their fans in many ways- this includes learning to pronounce the English lyrics to Butter and Dynamite. They also did the same in the past where they put out songs and albums in Japanese to reach this large fan base. They are the hardest working artists and their success is a tribute to this!

Definitely, give their other non-english songs, a try, I would suggest listening to their most recent album BE.

You had me at your nail polish color selections Mr Producer. It was very refreshing to watch & listen to a newbie watch the members and not be getting on like they are ready dye their hair to look like Jimin & be stopping the video every 3 seconds saying hotttt damnn or oh what the (insert cursing here) was that did you all see that. You should react to SPRING DAY, Mic drop & On. Before you watch spring day read about why they made that song and just be prep for some tears. It was written due to a National horrible tragedy that left a country in tears and mourning for unnecessary death of over 300 school children. To this day the members still consider that song their most value & precious song. Spring Day & the fact they kept a specical fan signing after the making the MV for the families & the town it happened in. They donated a lump sum of money to the families & what those 7 young men did made me army 2 yrs ago. They don't just care & worry about each other they do that for strangers they have never met. 💜

That really felt like the most genuine reaction I have ever watched, stay true to yourself when you react to bts, no need to like everything to make us happy, we do love to hear a real opinion. As for suggestions, first of all thank you for asking for their korean songs because they're just incredible and their lyrics are top notch (when you watch an mv turn on the captions, so you can understand what they're saying). I personally suggest you to start with Life goes on, Fake Love, Spring Day and Black Swan. These are a bunch of their title tracks with an MV, but if you're interested to their b-side tracks, HELL YEAH just say the word and all the army here will give you a ton (me included)

I definitely recommend listening to their song "Whalien 52" It's about the real life story of a whale that communicated on a different frequency so it couldn't talk to any of the other whales and therefore was ostracized and traveled all alone instead of in a group like whales normally do. The lyrics give a lot of comfort to those who may feel completely alone or maybe like they don't belong/are too different from everyone else. Don't want to spoil too much in case you decide to check it out lol but definitely something worth checking out. Song is from their 2016 album The Most Beautiful Moments in Life, Part 1 :)

Ann Sullivan Moon. I’m a 62 year old GREAT-GRANDMOTHER of 3 little ones. My 29 yr old daughter, Hannah, introduced me to BTS about 2 months ago and since then I feel like a teenager falling in love with her first MAN BAND! I suggest you watch Suga’s “Daechwita”(pronounced something like De-ji-tah). HIS ancestors are of the MIN DYNASTY. However, SUGA (rapper) grew up very poor. This song is gorgeous, well written, has a dark, mystic, sinister feel. Also, J-Hope’s “Chicken Noodle Soup” (he’s the 7’s dance leader & rapper/singer). BTS’s “Idol”, “Black Swan”, “Boy with Love”! Their music has a great, positive message behind every song. Their hearts and soul’s are revealed in each lyric. Get to know who each one is and then you’ll truly become a BTS GENRE FANATIC, like this old lady & her daughter! My Bias is Jimin...wonder what that means...research! Have fun.

Everything everyone else said lol and also..... they’ve got a fan engagement experience unlike anything I’ve ever seen. They’ve got people obsessed (in the best way) with their funny and genuine personalities, their hilarious and loving relationships with one another, the obvious appreciation and commitment to their fans (ARMY) which has all been bared to us constantly and consistently through content content content since 2013. Plus an entire “bangtan universe” that combines their music/music videos and several other platforms to create a dark and mysterious (and terribly confusing lol) ongoing story.... On top of all of that they are really smart guys, one in the certified genius category, and their work is always deep and meaningful containing salty wordplay and double and triple entendres.... save for their English singles dynamite and butter lol You won’t have to delve too far into this rabbit hole to see what I’m talking about. BTS music is its own genre because it mixes the influences of pop, hip hop, R&B, rap, disco, Latin, African, Korean, etc. They are all over the map. The group has three main rappers and 4 singers, although JK is a good rapper, too. Their collection is so vast that one Saturday I decided to start from the beginning and it took the entire day to get through it. And that didn't include anything from 2020 onward. Great story, captivating music, incredible talent and good looking humble young me with a positive message for the world. I'm old age Army (62) and there are plenty of us. BTS’s music is very diverse. When it comes to BTS, their lyrics are something that stands out the most because most of their songs have deep meaningful lyrics. Some examples are: Black Swan, Spring Day, Intro: Persona, Interlude: Shadow, Euphoria, Answer: Lover Myself, The Truth Untold, 134340, Outro: Tear, Blood Sweat and Tears; these are songs that have very meaningful lyrics/messages. Some of the songs you might not be able to understand right away reading from the translation, so I recommend you to watch an explain video of the song instead. DKDKTV is a KZbin channel that does explaining to song lyrics and also BTS songs too. They do a really good job explaining the lyrics, meaning and messages in the song. Highly recommended.

Maxwell - it's been a little over a month since you posted this. I won't put down anyone who doesn't love BTS. I have members of my own family who just don't get it. I feel sorry and sad for them. But my guess is you are Army by now. BTS are great dancers, singers, writers, producers, models and even actors, and they have allowed us into their private and personal world. We know them as people, as humans who are not perfect, but very much relatable and loveable. We've (Army) watched them cry, we've heard them voice their pain in their own words, we've laughed with them and at them - and the list goes on. I don't know of any other entertainers who have the connection with their fans like BTS does. They are a phenomenon in the music business. Had they been under any other management than BigHits - we might never have had the opportunity to know Jin, Jimmin, Suga, RM, Hobie, JK and Taehyung. A BIG thank you to BigHits.

Thank you for reacting to bts! My personal recommendation and favorite would be: 1. Black Swan, it has dark undertone and deep meaning behind it, the dance is also very cool 2. Film out, its in Japanese, rnb ballad(?) kind of song, quite sad lyrically but the MV is pretty powerful, the song that got me into BTS 3. Mic Drop, energetic diss/flex track full of rap, more hip hop i think. The MV is not full version, but there is perfomance of them with full version where they do dance break (i.e MAMA music award performance, James Corden/Ellen Show i cant remember which one) Thanks once again! I hope you stay healthy
