Yeap, the whistling is like a moving on to the next stage, right after he accepted he would do well alone, too. And the whistling was included by him in the song and performed by JK, of course, as per what he said. :)

In JK's weverse live where he listened and sang along to Golden with ARMY he mentioned that this whistle at the end is not him. He can whistle, he does in DNA, but this isn't him apparently. The whistle noise in Please Don't Change is him though he said.

I didn't love this song at first. But then I started to think of him playing it live, because of what you said about acoustic guitars. It would be lovely in a concert, pared down. Just him. 💜 For me the whistling is a bit of act happy and then you will be happy. Maybe the whistling will trick his mind. Nice reaction but that lyric is ‘flaws’. Just a pity that you used a lyric video by Jaeguchi… who (along with Lemoring) rips off original artists views and posts rapid, often poor translations just for clicks.
