Appreciated your honest commentary! Just to give it a little bit more context: before fanmeets, fans can fill out forms where they write challenges and different things that they would like to see the members do, from dance challenges to games to song covers etc. One of the ideas selected for that fanmeet was for the Muddy Water and Waiting for Us subunits to cover each others' songs, so that's how it came to be. It was never supposed to be super serious or anything, just a fun challenge for the fans to enjoy! And of course they slayed because they're incapable of not slaying, but like they were definitely playing around and having fun with it

Chan knew what he was doing when he "tried" to go low 😂😂😂 one of the perks of all the members being able to do everything. They can do fun things like this. Someone has forgotten and someone does not know at all, but Seungmin is a versatile, versatile and incredibly talented person. He is really great at rapping, and since the debut of the group, he has been training regularly and on the show "Weekly idol" he read faster than the main rapper of the group, and this is considering the fact that Seungmin is the main vocalist. PLEASE REACTION TO SEUNGMIN RAP COMPILATION.

Naw, you were right, that missed second definitely was felt, but he makes up for it in the second half. And he did better, at least in the concert I went to. It was amazing live. This performance made me want to hear a Seungmin rap verse so badly. He needs more rap solos, this proved he can definitely to it.

These covers were definitely used to give a sweet surprise to Stay with the changeup of the members. Knowing Chan, if it was to be a "serious" remake, he would have made sure the boys new rap verses, would have been in their own "style". As you said, rappers usually will write their own flow and these boys can & do.. and please continue to give your honest opinions (you're respectfully.. no shade). I respect that. If there are some who would be a little sensitive, but they just need to put on their big people pants... no shade -- facts. Looking forward to the rapline's waiting for you..

I was very surprised I.N did Changbin’s part. 😂 Considering that I.N and Seungmin hardly ever raps they did really well. It was a fun thing to do. Also when the rapline did Waiting for us. Switching things up makes for a fun show.

Just woke up in my time zone and here is the flip side of Muddy Water! Glad you had a bit of fun with this one. There is an in joke in the fandom that Seungmin is the best rapper so this was fun for the fans. He once sang Han’s part in an old Maniac (think that was the song) performance when Han was unwell. He also many years back beat both Han and Changbin for speed reading a long passage on a variety show. But he does take a much more chill, laid back approach, it’s his style so not as sharp and punchy as Han. I think I’ve also heard Seungmin joke he wants to be a rapper on another variety show and on yet another, when asked “What did you want to be when you grew up?”, the members thought baseball player as that was his original dream before injury, but his reply was “Changbin”. He did recently sing and “small” rap with Han when they did a duet of Han’s SKZ record of Volcano. It was at the end of the recent 2 Kid Show with the both of them. Thanks for your reaction. I always thought that Chan having Felix’s part is because he is probably out of the four of them that can sort of go that low comfortably.( I’m still roughly a new stay. But I only know that the clips I’ve seen the 3 can only go so low not as low as Felix.)

Glad you reacted to this one! Although stays like to say they all can sing and rap, they do have their own strengths and weaknesses. I don't think you said anything that would warrant a hatetrain lmao I know some ppl are sensitive to critisism but I agree with what you said. Tho chan has rapped before and lee know has had small rap parts, I.N and seungmin are very clearly vocalists (that they pride themselves in). thats also seen in the other unit cover. Although they CAN sing, waiting for us is a challenging song. But it was fun and unexpected and I hope they switch unitsongs more just to spice it up (also I know I said in my comment that this was from their dome tour but apparently it was from their fanmeet oops)

To be fair, Minnie was doing a stylistic take on his part. I feel that he came in late on purpose, and he owned that stage. He attitude here is something else. I wish he raps more. He can freestyle too, though you can't find many videos of it :) The rap switch is so awesome too, they all sound fantastic in "Waiting for us"

I had a whole paragraph yesterday night about how you had to watch this, to comment on the original version reaction but I fell asleep before posting 😅 Great you did! I'm glad you give a honest reaction, by the way. You pointed out what your experienced ears would have changed, but were professional about it. And the most important part, you had a good time. Idc what other people say, I really appreciate your honesty Like yeah "Stray kids have no real position" etc but the reality is that some members are better at rapping and others at singing and it's fun when they try each other specialties Anyway thank you for your reaction, as always I enjoyed it a lot!

FIRST, as I've told you, I'm here for the truth, your truth! So never lie here... SECOND, they are not called a group of ACES for nothing. They can all sing, rap, and dance. THIRD, I totally agree with you on the rap things that you explained. I'm definitely no expert on rap, but I know that a lot goes into it, and Han and Changbin write their own verses of course cause A, It's them, and B, It's for them. So, If someone else sings the same verse It's going to sound a bit off. But, they did sound good! I haven't heard that before (really surprising for me to be true... I'm an OVER consumer of Stray Kids) + I know that Seungmin had some rapping lessons before, but I'm not sure about I.N lessons in general for rapping. Before this performance, I'm sure they did work on it a lot, with a teacher or with Changbin and Han themselves. + For me at least, hearing I.N rap like that is even more impressive, even though Seungmin's part was way harder and he's not a professional rapper but I heard him rap before and I know that he can pull that off if he wanted to, I already know he's good, but with I.N It's different, cause I don't think that I have ever heard I.N rap seriously before, maybe just little "skits" of back and forth with 3Racha on their behind the scenes show that they have "SKZ Talker".

I think the performance was mainly a fun gift for Stay rather than a serious thing like you said. You're not wrong in saying the timing was slightly off and that Seungmin was being laid back. He's able to go fast but doesn't have the same kind of tone or level of practice as Han. They all still did a great job especially since it's a common thing in K-pop for rappers not to be able to sing and vocalists to not rap at all. Hence, Stay get to say we have 8 all-rounders as SKZ has 8 singers, 8 rappers, and 8 dancers. That's not even counting the producing (3RACHA), insane lyricism (3RACHA and mainly Hyunjin), and melodies (3RACHA and Hyunjin) that they do themselves. Basically, even with an imperfect performance, they're insanely talented which is why I don't think you should get a ton of hate.

If by producing you mean instrumental/beat making, only Chan does that in the group, 3racha is responsible for topline making (or melody, as you said). But kpop uses the term producing for lyrics+topline too so yeah if we use it that way all members produced/co-produced songs several times, that's very impressive ❤

I also got slightly bothered by Seungmin being 1/2 a beat off in the pre-chorus. Particularly because I.N was so on top of the timing and crisp as crisp can be. I really wanted to hear that sharp back and forth too!!

Wait. I know they all can rap, but I thought Bangchan was a part of the rap line. Isn’t bangchan, changbin, han for rap line? Felix, Hyunjin, Lee Know, dance line? And Seugmin and IN vocal line? Have I had that wrong this whole time?

Based on my understanding of it: 3racha: Bangchan, Changbin & Han (Production/Writing Line & the original subunit) Rap Racha: Han, Changbin, Felix, Hyunjin (all of these members have a rapper position well they did before they got rid of positions) Dance Racha: Hyunjin, Lee Know, Felix Vocal Racha: Seungmin, I.N (& Bangchan SHOULD be considered apart of this but often isn't cause he's already in 3racha)

Okay so I understand why this is confusing. They have the official subunits: Producing/writing unit and yes also the original rap trio subunit that was formed and making music before SKZ, 3RACHA: Bang Chan, Changbin and Han. They do have their rap unit songs and still occasionally perform as a trio. DanceRacha: Lee Know, Hyunjin and Felix VocalRacha: Seungmin and I.N. However these are different from the division they most often have in their songs between vocalists and rappers. Members who rap the most are Changbin, Han, Hyunjin and Felix and members who sing the most are Seungmin, I.N., Lee Know and Bang Chan. Han could be in either one though because he had to step up as a vocalist after they became 8 members. So they all can rap and sing but obviously are more trained/comfortable in one or the other.

No I think racha units confused you but they don't represent the positions. Bang Chan is a vocalist (he does rap but not much), I don't know if you listen to their songs but Chan sings almost as much as Seungmin who is the main vocalist. 3racha is the producer unit

sorry guy but I think you're confusing some things, Stray Kids DON'T HAVE DEFINED POSITIONS, the 8 rap, the 8 sing, the 8 dance, In and Seungmin and Lee Know have already rapped on many Skz songs throughout their discography, of course it's not common but they are still rappers too, so much so that in Kingdom In who raps in part of the presentations and Lee Know at the beginning of Distric 9 started rapping, their tone is obviously different. but they still rapped very well, so much so that that's why the group doesn't have divisions like vocals, rappers and dancers, Chan said that as everyone does well in everything the group doesn't have divisions like that, Seungmin in one The program even managed to be faster than Han and Changbin hahaha I understand that you don't usually hear them rapping but don't underestimate them, In rapping in Kingdom was very important for them to win, Seungmin always says he's going to do a project focused on rappers, and in a performance of Gods Menu he had to do Changbin's rap part because Changbin was bad that day and couldn't attend and Lee Know usually raps in Skz's discography especially on the old songs and Chan is from 3racha so it's no surprise that he does rap lol just remember that Stray Kids doesn't have a rap line, a vocal line (Chan's own words in live), the members really have a more comfortable space in one position but it doesn't mean they just stay in that position

These are not Chan's words love, I understand your enthusiasm but OF COURSE they have positions. Just because Seungmin and I.N rapped a few lines in some songs doesn't mean they're rappers lol, this is not a kids group. And even Lee Know mostly sings, doesn't rap much nowadays. Being a rapper isn't that easy, they never even wrote their own raps. They never rapped full verses perfectly on beat in a live performance (except this one). So no, skz aren't 8 singers and 8 rappers. Hyunjin and Felix aren't good singers (they don't have to be) and Seungmin Jeongin and Lino aren't good rappers.

I have to respectfully disagree with you on one specific issue, Felix has a beautiful singing voice. Other than that I think when People say they can all rap they are referring more to the performance aspect not writing the raps. I know that many people will say you are not a real rapper unless you write your own raps and I agree with that too a point but especially in kpop is also a skill that you add to the group overall you may not write the lyrics but you can perform the rap for the group. Changbin and Han and even Chan write their own raps but they also will perform lines written by the others so it's all about your perspective. Also Felix and Hyunjin and IN have all written raps for in songs for them.
