When the album released at midnight, there was no way in hell I was listening to it softly to not wake up my neighbors in the building so ironically enough I went out to my car in the rain (sound familiar? lol), turned the volume all the way up, and listened from beginning to end. Once it got to this song, I was so shocked at the transition that my jaw literally dropped and my hand flew to my mouth, and once the meaning of the words started pouring out as she kept singing I just felt so fucking proud of her that I started bawling like a fuckin baby lol. It kept building and once it gets to the screams, it was just another wave of sobbing. SO proud of her, and SO glad she made this song. To the people saying they wish they could hear this song again for the first time…. I am fucking WITH you on that. Aaaaand then I just cried through Male Fantasy too cause I was already a hot mess anyway lmao I can’t stop watching the live performance for Fallon now. The kick she does when she starts “I don’t talk shit about you” is perfect and SO “Billie” but even harder now… and then after the end of the long belt, her little bounces and the look on her face when she’s looking over at Finneas right before it pans over to him- 🥺 I just love everything about it.
