Whoever produced “blinding lights”, “in your eyes”, and “scared to live” did the 80s sound PERFECT for this day and age. I’ve always loved 80s music hearing it when my parents would play it so it was awesome hearing a current artist I also love absolutely KILL this sound

The part at the beginning when its just an echoey synth gets me so excited as the song builds I love it

The Weeknd really puts out an incredible album and the commentary, thriller videos, bandages, 'plastic surgery' as a diss to the LA women and men looking alike due to plastic surgery, and releasing some emotion over a broken heart; makes Abel a true artist in every way. Major talent and I'm a fan!
@danicallmeover47784 жыл бұрын
5:20 that's a bit of the reverb/slowed version of the song which he actually shared once on Twitter, he liked it a lot so he put it on the video. Abel is the goat 😍😳
@eluno9493 жыл бұрын
It’s halftimed lmao. Abel is good but his team is what takes it to the next level.
@danicallmeover47783 жыл бұрын
@@eluno949 search on youtube blinding lights slowed/reverb and you will see what I'm talking about, he even shared a bit of that version on his Twitter once so

Ashton Irwin, drummer from 5 seconds of summer, made a "drum cover" of this song on his IG and those drums give (and his excitement) give this song even better vibe. You should check it out.

This song is great, especially if you have a decent pair of headphones or a good set of speakers with a subwoofer. It has that 80s Flash Dance feel to me and just makes me smile.

Just gotta say real quick, your definition of a producer in the beginning made me smile because it just shows your genuine and pure your love for making music is. Love your content and value your opinion greatly! Keep doing what you do :)

Great video Blake! I’m surprised you didn’t mention Max Martin though since he was a producer and writer and this song has all his hallmarks.

You should really react to “Melodrama” by lorde! I think you’ll LOVE the production. There’s many videos of her explaining how she produces the songs and why she puts those kinds of beats inside. It’s incredible. You’ll love it!!! (Btw love your vids)
@yankeemania23453 жыл бұрын
Sir you really helped me appreciate this song way more than I had previously did and I didn't know it was possible to love the more than I do. Some say that it is a simple song but how you explained what goes into making this song is so cool to know. It really was song of the year for 2020 in terms of the accolades it earned, the replayability, etc. Great video!

it's a very synthwave inspired song; the clip absolutely fits it; for me it feels like it's inspired by something like Carpenter Brut's Turbo Killer, or, strangely enough David Hasselhoff's True Survivor

Hey bro I like ur channel (pls read fully), just want to share with u very fascinating fact " I rejected this track when I heard it's all time best of past 50 years as chosen by billboard, later two days back I heard it sung by Ukrainian girl in one broadcasting app unaware that's she is singing this one ,I liked , it played back in my head hence after two days I told her to recall the same song and she sang and told me the title "blinding lights", i hit the utube search and to my astonishment i felt like OH MY GOD " song was saying to me , u rejected me and I came back to u since m really the best material " I mean it taught me the lesson that best is best it will make u accept that it's best 🙂
