Ya'll should know that Blake doesn't really react to R&B artists like that. So if your looking for a Jazmine Sullivan, H.E.R, SZA, Giveon, Anderson Paak, Chloe x Halle. I enjoyed the way you explained how the way music is mixed,today, creates a different sound than what we listened to in the '70's, when live bands were recorded along with the singers. I was trying to explain to my young granddaughter how sounds, like a heartbeat, or trumpet can be'dropped' into a song mix, because we were listening to the heartbeat that comes in during Blue & Grey and I think we will watch some videos,together, of tracks being put together and the magic that is intentionally created. Also, you mentioned Bread, which is all I listen to when I have to drive on congested freeways, in order for me to remain calm and happy.

I'd like to approach all this heat in a calm and collected manner. Blake was not familiar with Anderson.Paak. Totally fine; that genre is not his jam. But the issue here is about respect and acknowledgement. Pretend Blake has a friend named Jerry. Blake and Jerry write and produce a phenomenal song. They play it for a crowd. Afterward, Blake and Jerry are standing together when one of Jerry's friends comes up to them and says "Jerry, you wrote an AMAZING song! Great job!" and then walks away. Sure, maybe his friend didn't mean any disrespect, he doesn't know Blake like that. But that's being lazy. It doesn't take much effort for him to turn to Blake and say, "I don't know you, but good job to you too man. I saw what you did up there." It's about being seen. It's about a much bigger issue in the world and this could be a great learning opportunity.

At 3:29 there's a reason why Anderson Paak didn't play a filler in that part and instead played what you described all together once the rest of the band kicks in. It was intended and it was him playing or toying with the songs tempo. There are very few drummers and musicians who are able to do that and WHILE singing. That's why i love Paak, he's a genius. Finesse is an understatement. Bruno Mars is no less, but you gotta give credit where it's due.

Anderson Paak is an amazing artist in his own right. Together they're magic. Why didn't you mention him?
@jeremy339433 жыл бұрын
Maybe because it's his channel and he doesn't have to or he thought he was trash and didn't want to be disrespectful could be 100 different reason but he doesn't need to explain it to anyone

anderson .paak sang a good portion of the song as main vocals alongside bruno and its in the fricking TITLE of the song.... you only mention bruno just because sure you only know him but doing even LIGHT research about your artists shows your decency towards their craft esp bc you are a producer. your assumptions were wrong as they are a duo making up silk sonic. this is pretty disappointing since i like your videos but this one missed a mark. like some fricking decency and respect was not addressed when i couldve been. like there’s ignorance and then there’s what you did here. the bar is in the ground. sigh.
