Jungkook has always been such a huge fan of Charlie Puth, every time he's asked who he wants to colllab with he would always say Charlie Puth. They actually got to perform We Don't Talk Anymore together at a Korean award show back in 2018. Jungkook and Jimin also did a cover of We Don't Talk Anymore I believe for Festa (it's just audio though no video or performance).

But actually since then it was charlie who always tweeted and mentioned jungkook on his tweets and send him his favorite songs. Never forget Charlie chose Jungkook for this collab. He said Jungkook was the first one he thought of that would be perfect for this song. He chose him because it felt natural & there was a mutual respect for their music and talent. Charlie was so impressed with jks verse. He called it magical and even said jk must have perfect pitch like he has. The song has gone on to break many records and continues to break every kpop soloist creeer and also broke bts records and highest debut on Hot10p. That is all credit to the talents of BOTH Charlie and Jungkook who worked together to create the song of the summer

I just wanted to point out it was a dream come true for JK to collab with Charlie Puth and they have performed together in the past. I'm happy for both Charlie Puth and Jungkook and I hope Left and Right continues to do well and I hope they get to perform it together at some point.
