Pretty sure he has referring to Jesy, I know he said that while he was listening to Leigh singing, but Jesy had a line after hers. It wouldn't make sense for him to compare Leigh to Alessia because she doesn't have a husky tone at all (kinda the contrary, she has a clear and angelical voice), he used Ariana as a comparison to Leigh's voice. I agree with you, they were already a band when this artists weren't even know yet, how could they be inspired by them?

From a producer pov, Glory Days is ( their 4th album ) is better. It's a classic pop album. Full on melodies. Also Little mix are known for their harmonies and acapella performances. They are CRAZY good

It is her voice but there is a small effect on it you can hear it. Something mixed in with her vibrato. Auto tune isn't always used to make someone sound like they can sing something they can't. It's often used as an effect or to just fine tune some things. It doesn't mean the artist can't sing it

So glad you reacted to this album! I honestly think you would really enjoy it even more if you took some time to get to know each of the girls’ individual voices. It’s crazy how much you might attribute to production that is actually just natural timbre and tone of each of their voices - specifically thinking about your several comments about autotune. Each of those comments were when Jesy was singing, and she truly has one of the most unique voices - and more specifically, vibratos - I’ve ever heard. Though I can’t guarantee there is no autotune, as I’m not as familiar with mixing and production as you are, I think a lot of that truly is just her natural voice. Take some time to watch some videos of them singing live and you’ll see that every note they sing is album worthy. Insanely talented group of women that deserves much more time and attention than they’ve received in the States.

First time watching and I loved how you broke things down and that there was a mix between instrumental and vocals. A lot of producers don't say anything about the vocals. I also loved that you looked things up when you had questions and would rewind. I think it would be really interesting to watch you listen to some of the live versions of the songs. Specifically, told you so and the cure (coming in part 2) at apple music in 2018. It's completely live and has a band. I'd love to know what you think comparing studio to live. The first person you said sounded like Alessia Cara was Leigh-Anne, the second was Jesy. I don't know how much someone's singing style can be influenced by someone who's career started after their own, (Little Mix has been around since 2011), I'm mean I guess it could be. Also, LM5 refers to it being their 5th album not there being 5 members, there's only 4: Perrie, Jesy, Jade and Leigh-Anne.

I don’t think auto tune is what you’re hearing on Jesy’s voice. If you listen to any videos of her singing live it sounds just like that, it’s a very unique sound/voice! If you want to listen to them more, I’d recommend reacting to one of their live performances from the LM5 tour. Believe it or not, most, if not all, of their songs are actually a lot better live! And they don’t lip sync, only during choruses when there’s a dance break.

Finally!! This is the second time I watch this reaction actually. The premiere was very early morning for me so I haven't left any comment. I can't wait for the second part and other Little Mix's album. 2 album before this is actually very pop. Salute and LM5 are more R&B and surprisingly less popular than their pop albums even though this is actually a really really great album.
