I love when JK do covers. He does it in his own way w/o changing or adding too much (unnecessary adlibs). He always makes sure to respect the original version. And he also studies the lyrics and the meaning of the song before he covers it. He doesn't do cover on just any song. I personally think he cover songs that resonates to him the most.

I feel the same, I love Jungkook's cover more because I love his voice a lot, he is my favourite singer and the way his voice takes you on a journey and paints vivid pictures, his vocal techniques, wide range and phenomenal control along with emotive power, makes him a master vocalist. If you are interested, you could react to "Jungkook the main vocalist of BTS" by Ida S, or "Jungkook singing on vlive (compilation)" by Ida S. The latter is a compilation of his raw vocals, just singing infront of the camera. It's amazing! The first is very informative and well put together, giving an insight on what JK does as the main vocalist :)

AREUMDAUN! JK is just special, period. I wasn't familiar with the original, in fact I stopped listening to music long ago until BTS came along. The rest as they say is history. Having just listened to the original (the Styles MV made me uncomfortable to say the least, he looked like he was drowning at the end) I can say I prefer JK's version. I'm probably biased as I love BTS but I do think JK's timber of voice is on another level. The longer I listen the more emotional I get. We're really lucky to have him and BTS in our times. With all due respect to Harry Style who is also a great artist, I find Jungkook's cover more emotional and heartfelt. He sung it like the song is his own. Jungkook is truly very special... FYI, he released the cover on Oct 29 which happened to be the same date as their last concert in 2019. Having not to perform live for 2 years now, the song became more emotional.😭

Tristan Paredez ( another well known vocal coach) once said while listening to Jungkook - can someone ask him how he does it, how he can convey such crazy amounts of real emotions, how does he work with his voice that he Even if you discount all other skills and aspects of his singing ( his range, his natural tone, his stylistic choices, his technique, breath control, impeccable ear and perfect pitch ) you´ll still be left with truck loads of raw, genuine and very much relatable emotions that hit you like a brick wall every time he opens his mouth. I went and listened to Harry's sing the song to get a sense of the song and know what it was about , he was amazing . So when I listened to JK OMG he was very close and just amazing. Im glad he kept it close to Harry's version. Im not going to compare and say who is better they are two amazing singers I just as far as emotions for me JK is my guy .
