During one of the GOT7 fan meet, Jackson explained that the girls did their shots first and left before he arrived to the shoot location (FYI, this was shot at the crazily beautiful Phuket and Koh Phangan, Thailand). And I do love your take on Jackson being the sort of narrator of the story while the three girls are the main protagonists of the MV. Reminded me of those older Korean ballad MVs. The thing i liked the mot was the fact that the women in the music videos weren't been "sexualized" if I can say or used as some set pieces. They were part of the story and I think that's Jackson style. We can see who he truly is even through his music video.

Yeah I understand what you mean about it being less icky...having the beautiful women on their own journey just with each other, with no male gaze (even someone like Jackson who would probably be respectful) intruding was kind of nice. Jackson was just the nice voice singing from the heavens/a chorus to their journey. I'm sure the no interaction might have been more due to his crazy schedule, that it was easier to shoot his parts quickly and alone, but the end result was nice.

Not gonna lie I read Jackson not interacting with the girls as idol politics. I’m not entirely convinced it was for solely artistic choice than it was preventing shattering the image of Jackson as being an “available” idol for girls to project fantasies onto. However i liked your take on it better than my cynical view lol

My thought on the mv, they wore bikini n all but it is not sexually exploitive. it shows that jackson respect women n he doesnt use them as just another prop or accessory.

To be honest Jacksons songs are good but they always miss something , not in the way that it lacks but more like it has much more potential and most importantly his voice has more potential but holding in in account the process behind the production of his songs and MV's , meaning by that that he does it all by himself ,pays it all himself and has no reputable production team behind it , it is quite impressive ,but because of that you can hear his lack of experience in the finishing details which isn't inherently a bad thing if you think about it , it has the credit to be an honest and truthful representation of his capabilities which is rare if not non existent in the mainstream music industry .

I agree with everything you said abt hip hop mvs excessively using sexy women as set pieces, that was always my problem with them so I can't stand to watch those. Too exploitative. Which is also why I really loved that Jackson didn't go that route with his mv and draped himself with sexy gyrating girls etc. That's just not the kinda "swag" I agree with. Jackson's doing great at creating his own path and I love this song the most out of all his solo releases. Thanks for always reacting to Jackson's (and GOT7's) work!

If you read the lyrics, you will know jackson wrote the love song for girl from his perspective, so i don't think Jackson is the narrator here. Since it's a summer vacation vibe song, it's always pleasing to see beautiful women, that's why they have three girls in the music video.

I was waiting for your reaction and good day to you PD. I was thinking perhaps one day Jackson and yourself might work together on Jacksons' music project who knows. Btw TEAM WANG is Jackson self-funded company for all of his own solo work and from the making of his own song/music/lyrics to mv storyboard to how he wanted it to be presented, every single details eg. people, locations, sets, clothings up to even the little things like the wine glass in OKAY mv he sourced for it. I like the video alot due to the fact that Jackson are not protraying the girls as sex objects like most of the hip-hop artists in America. The fact that he doesn't interact with them and that it looks like they are having fun by just being on a holiday, etc is something I like a lot.
